Is it me? or is the gdamn baseball forum turning into a "wheres so & so" or "heres so & so picks" trolling ground? I'm about to blow a fcuking fuse after looking at this shit day after day after day after day! Can someone with the power to please clean up the fcuking beggers and hat in hand type threads?
Beleive me I would like to help but the problem is it is difficult to single out anyone unless they are really out of line. The best thing you guys can do and a huge favor to me would be to use the report a post icon in the posts that you feel are bringing the quality of the fourm down. Those threads/posts get immedaite attention from a moderator. About 30 minutes ago someone reported a thread that was a promo by a tout and it was moved to Site Promotions immediately. Everyday there are over 100 active threads in the baseball forum and the moderators need help from posters to identify the problem threads and posts.
Yeah, I can see how some are frustrated about that. For instance, I am sure teazeman have seen a particular thread where a fellow RX poster is posting the picks & record of another poster who just left RX. The thing is, like Wil says, "it's not out of line for someone to volunteer that information since it's found on a public forum without copyrighted material involved".
Just like how we have had service plays in the MLB forum being "shared" among our posters for the main purpose of tracking whether those touts out there are legitimate and whether we want to tail or fade them. Granted, the service plays were evidently been paid by someone on the Internet and then posted online for everybody to know, not just restricted to theRX. I saw that the service plays thread for today was moved to the Touts section (mainly probably because the thread starter made the mistake of completely pasting other forum's graphics!).
I don't mind recommending that any shared picks found on Internet (thereby becoming public & free even though touts would frown hugely on this as they may lose some potential money out of this) to be placed in the Touts forum if that helps reduce the clutter of people asking for "does anybody have Ness plays"? I know teazeman have seen a lot of that, and it was partly because Bookie Buster has taken a break from maintaining a great daily service play thread causing some chaos between the remaining participating posters-- and the followers are cluttering up the MLB forum with endless questions.
Just wanted to throw my perspective on this as I have been part of this in recent weeks.
Cheers,
