Who has given up gambling all together, rather a bonus whore or not.

I have, and really feel it about this time of the year.

Kinda funny. I took a lot of funds out and then lost a pretty decent sum as well. I figured I would see what happened with the rest of what I had online, if I lost the rest I would just hang it up. Well, now I went on a pretty nice winning streak and have as much as before I started taking $$$$ out. Funny, I go to thinking about quitting to having as much online as I did last year.

BTW- 1 thing I don't like is it's harder to take leads on scalps, I have somewhat quit that unless it is something real obvious.

why would/did you quit?

There is no problem playing, getting paid at all with the right books!

with the limited ways of moving money, it is harder now for someone to hit a game they really like and then pull out. Odds are definitely against you now during these days unless you're a daily recreational gambler.

BB,
I'm out of the game. DOJ made their position crystal clear ... and I'm not about to be an online martyr for a poker hobbie.

off topic, I had a Minnesota Vikings draft moment ... with 4 picks in from of my 2nd round selection all 4 guys I penciled down went ... I choked and took Portis over Cinco Ocho. I'm completely embarrassed.

I'm still in the game -- nothing more than minor hassles encountered since the pullout of Neteller and Pinny! Still getting money in and out...still betting every day....and still loving matchbook.com, where all of you should have money!

Keep hope alive!

Things no different now than when I started back in 2000. Actually think the situation is a little better. Always amuses me how easily the average person quits. I guess that is what makes them average.

I haven't made a bet since April, but I am definitely feeling it right now. Will probably post up pretty soon

In what way is it better, exactly, than when Pinny and Neteller were in full swing, and books didn't take it so personally when you won? You obviously haven't been booted for winning or had your limits dropped anywhere. It's not that it's impossible to get a bet down these days. It's just that volume has become an issue for sharper, higher volume gamblers.
