Bought a 42' LG TV LCD 1080p, get it home, set it up, works fine for 1 day, next day the mrs says it won't start. I go up to the room thinking she's on crack. I try every problem solver there is and the TV won't start (green light blinks 5 times and no pic or sound. SOOOOOOOOOOOO, that same night I pack up the TV and take it back to that piece of shit store Rozas and they say you have to go through their warrenty people... I'm like, I just bought the fucking TV 2 days ago and it won't work. I was pissed beyond belief. Manager's like, I can't take the TV, you have to go through the Rozas' company tech people... Soooo, next day (today) Tech comes out and says it's a bad power supply, TV is 2 days old and a bad power supply? I'am fucking pissed beyond belief...I call Roza's again and tell them I don't want this lemon, they tell me the only way they can return it is if the tech says the TV's shot. I can not believe in this day and age that a company does not stand behinf the product they sell; I was completly baffulled.... SO, now Roza's is passing the buck to LG directly. The stupid cunt tells me I'll have to deal with LG if I want to get a refund or a exchange. At this point I may have to call my credit card company and tell them the TV was an "impulse buy" and go that route... Not sure right now, I jusy know I don't want somthing that breaks down in the first 2 days I own it and also I didn't get the stupid rip off warranty..

Anyone had this nightmare?

This happened to me in Costa Rica not too long ago on a Modem I bought. I connected the thing as soon as I got home from the computer store and it didn´t work. So I take it back and they want to send it to get fixed and make me wait. I am thinking what the fuck is wrong with these people?

Good Luck with the TV situation.

Honestly, I wouldn't stress about it. If it is a defective part that can be replaced, it should work fine after it is repaired.

this has happened to me before, not with a tv though. a couple of years ago i bought vcr/dvd burner combo at best buy. thing worked a few times then about a month after i bought it it stopped working. because it was 30 days after purchase i had to send it out for repair locally. took a few weeks got it back and it did not work again, the dvd burner that the warranty place installed was defective. the warranty shop then told me i had to call jvc directly and send it back to them for a "software upgrade" and i had to pay shipping. i said b.s. and went back to best buy and bought the same model, took it out of the box and put in the defective one and returned it a few days later and told them i changed my mind and did not want it and never took it out of the box. they gave me a full refund and i got a new dvd burner. i did feel a little guilty about doing this but so what they will just send it back to jvc anyway as defective. not sure if you can do that with a tv cause its so big but it worked for me

What kind of credit card did you buy with? Issuing bank?

Dispute the charge because of defective product, don't say impusle purchase.

the same thing happen to me 2 yrs ago with a Panasonic Flat Screen TV, got it home worked for a week bang power supply goes out. they wanted to fix the the TV I wanted a replacement. they put me in contact with Panasonic directly the salesman gave me all kinds of shit about it. It took me 6 months to get this resolved.

I told him this was like setting money on *FIRE* cause I would never buy anything Panasonic or Circuit City sells ever again.

good luck.
