Marcum and Holladay are a solid one-two punch.

If they could get one more solid starter, and learn to hit on the road WATCH THE FUCK OUT is right!!

I agree with you Gyno, this club just oozes potential. In fact the kid throwing tonight has really been coming on as well. He might be someone to keep an eye on.

Thats what is so frustrating about this team. They have a good staff and a decent line-up 1 to 9, Good defence and a good bully....yet they are stuck, middle of the pack in the AL with really no chance at a wild card.

Not sure what the answer is but they are definitely under achieving

I just noticed he's pitched 1.1 innings against the Royals in his career and has 4 strikeouts, LOL. Wonder how long he can keep that streak going?

:drink:

I'm probably a sucker but came right back on the Jays again tonight.

Bullpen is one of the best in baseball as well. You think it might be the division they're in bro?

honestly, the Jays just shit the bed on the road (hitting) 12 games unfder .500 on road vs 13 games over .500 at home(or close to it) marcum is solid, halladay is a perennial ace, burnett does the job when he plays and this mcgowan kid is opening eyes too.. watch what he does to royals tomorow...

damn, us blue jays is frustrated

Its funny you mention that because that is the company line they have had for the past few years. This year the Red Sox have been good from the beginning but the Yanks have struggled, Tampa is a joke and Baltimore is too inconsistent.

At the very least they should be in the mix for a wild card. They are put together very similar to Seattle, Cleveland and Minny.

The owner raised the payroll to compete with the big market teams. Not Yankee or Red Sox money but enough to get the free agents to fill the holes.

The reason they added Thomas, AJ Burnett, BJ Ryan, Troy Glaus and Lyle Overbay the past few season was so that they could compete with the Sox and Yanks. At some point you have to stop with the "1 or 2 players away" and actually make a run. This year they had a very good chance and they failed to put it together.

You dont sign an aging Frank Thomas and throw out a ton of money on pitchers to finish 3rd.
