for no apparent reason, other than i really like a lot of plays today.

figured i would share with very brief reasoning. good luck to all 2day!

houston (rodriguez) -134 1.0 unit

wandy is unreal at home and suppan struggles on the road. i have the brew crew winning 2 of 3 this series and this is the loss.

also, my ex-girlfriend's name was rodriguez and she was supp-ar in bed.

arizona -1 1/2 -110 1.0 unit

looking for lannan to come back to reality here after facing much easier cincy and san fran lineups. he was medicore at best against philly in his first start. webb speaks for himself.

also, i can't back a guy who has no photo on 'yahoo player profiles' against webb who looks mad.

athletics (harren) +109 0.5 unit

haren has beaten verlander once already (albeit at home) and he has treated me pretty well all year. his stats are almost identical at home and on the road. i see verlander as being less consistent and actually has worse stats at home than on the road. should be a great duel.

i believe the key toi victory is in the beard

boston -1 1/2 -125 0.5 unit

beckett pitching early to take the leaguer lead in wins. hopefully revenge for the baltimore loss at fenway on july 31. last night should be the last time the boston bullpen pulls that stunt all year.

no jokes here

yankees (mussina) -128 1.5 units

more of a fade on byrd. great numbers this year, but i think the yankees lineup right now is more than he can handle. moose is 3 for his last 3 and has looked much much better.

i hat paul byrd from his philadelphia days

angels -1 1/2 EV 1.0 unit

truth be told, i didn't look at this game until i saw lang was making it a 25 dime play. hate to admit it, but his writeup made a lot of sense. i had already liked beckett notching his 15th win early. i like lackey to follow suit.

i'm sure i will be regretting this one at about midnight on the east coast. by then "two for the money" should be on cinemax. i can make my night complete by getting drunk at my party, watching matthew mccaugahay get pissed on by armand assante. if i'm really drunk and agitated, i may call one of my buddies brandon and re-enact the scene in my den.

follow, fade, or forget em!

With the exception of HOU?

I played every game you picked today.

Hope we win. Wild, I like, and played, all but one.
