please help.....xbox 360 or ps3

i know this has been asked before, but now that the ps3 has been out for longer i wanted some more reviews.
i want to go buy one tonight.
i do love halo for 360, and i love the sony games like mlb the show (so much better than 2k7)
i am asking ya'll because i trust my fellow degenerates...............

I love the PS3 and what it has to offer, but I am having fun with the 360.

Sometime next year I will switch over by selling the 360 and going PS3, but there just isnt enough reason to do it yet.

There are way more good titles out for the 360 right now, and XBOX live is awesome. Plus it will cost you less. You will be with a larger community of gamers, etc.

if you're into single-player rpg's= ps3

if you're into fps and multiplayer community=pc.

if you want to get duped into waving your hand and playing kiddie games= wii

The 360 is worth buying just for Gears of War, Halo 3, Rainbow 6 Vegas and Forza 2.

To be honest havent even played a good sports title yet for the 360. Though I havent had a chance to try that many. Madden 08 has gotten very positive early feedback, that will probably be the first great I end up playing.

Gears of war is amazing. I was just in awe of it.

There have been recalls for a bunch of 360s. I'd call their tech support. Maybe it's a common problem. Worth a try. Good luck.

My 360 got so bad it froze within the first 5 minutes every time i played it.

Yes, I used to have this exact same problem. I put the system in a more well venilated area, and as cool as possible. I can leave it on for hours at a time now. Make sure the power supply is not right next to it also.

The other day I did have the disc read error, when I reached a certain part of a game. But that is because the game is a rental and it REALLY was dirty and did need to be cleaned. But it works fine now.

love my 360...its got a killer lineup this fall and for sports games at the moment it cant be beat. i.e. 60fps for madden, nba, nhl, etc. and only 30fps for the ps3 sports titles. the 360 of course has had major hardware problems but you are set since you don't own one yet...make sure if you go into a store to pick it up you get one of the new quiter, cooler, models.

RobFunk....that is exactly what I'm going to do...just wait for the PS3 lineup to catchup and will probably sell my 360 sometime next year.

if you get a toshiba-samsung or Hitachi 78FK drive, you can flash the firmware and play burned games

PS3 has no games, thats why its not selling. The 360s just dropped in price, I picked the 360premier for $349... bought guitar hero too

I only bought the 360 for Xbox Live - if it wasnt for Live, I would buy the Wii in a heartbeat, its probably the best video game console to date... The Wii is the true definition of fun

Also with all the hardware issues that the 360 was having, Microsoft is now offering a 3 year warranty.
