I am in a 3 player keeper league and I have Peyton Manning, Brees, Marvin Harrison and Larry Johnson on my team from last year. I was offered two 4th round draft picks (4th round is like our first round) from another owner for Manning. Would I be dumb to turn down this deal?

Larry Johnson is gonna be useless this year. Well not useless, but he'll be lucky to be a top 15 RB. His offensive line that opened up huge holes for him and Priest is gone and he will struggle. I'd try to move Brees and LJ for the 4th round picks and something else. Peyton is a 1st rounder in any league so you'd pretty much be trading a 1st round pick for two 4th rounders. Who are the premier players that would be available with those two picks?

PS, from the keepers you have listed, you really need to work on RB anyway. LJ is not going to be a top 10 back for the next few years and I'd try and move him now while he still has so much trade value.

It's a 3 player keeper league, thus like the OP said, the 4th round is really the first round. Peyton for 2 first rounders? You'd be an idiot not to take this if you have Brees as well.

They aren't real 1st rounders though... all the real 1st rounders are kept. They may be 1st round in this draft, but that's because every team in the league has 3 players they kept, negating the productivity of the pick at that spot. If there are some nice players who didn't get kept, it's not a horrible deal... hell it may be a great one... but I'd recommend trying to make a deal with LJ before I moved the best fantasy QB for players that didn't make the cut to be kept... It really depends on who is available in the draft.

Some nice WR's like Reggie Wayne, Colston, TO, Lee Evans... Also there will be all of the rookie RB's and I think Esgerrin James, Cedric Benson and maybe Magahee

This is true, however no point in keeping 2 QBs unless your point is to keep everyone else from having them. Why hold over a player that is going to sit on your bench not earning you points? Might as well get what you can for them.

I agree with you there... I'm just thinking that he could get more value for Peyton than what was offered... I mean Reggie Wayne and TO aren't worth trading Peyton for in most formats. Edge won't succeed in Zona, McGahee is gonna struggle this year. TO and Wayne are nice enough... You definitely need to move a QB, I'm just not sure you are getting equal value in this deal considering how highly Peyton is regarded. I also think you need to focus on getting a RB if you trade one of these QBs considering my previous thoughts on LJ.

If Larry Johnson was in camp I would have an easier time moving him for equal value.

That's true as well. He should be a decent 2nd or 3rd RB if he plays so holding onto him isn't a horrible idea if no one will give up anything. It just appears that RB is going to be the biggest problem for you this season and the guys listed in the draft don't really impress me. I'd definitely try to make a move like Peyton for a 4th rounder and Joseph Addai. PS, if Addai is available, he will put up 1st round numbers if he stays healthy. He may challenge LT for best fantasy RB. Keep an eye open.
