Is this smart? Im sure most will say no because parlays are not smart plays and especially in baseball but F it. I just dont see Guthrie coming into yankee stadium beating this red hot yankee team even though he is a legit pitcher. Rather not bet on the no name yanks have pitching tuesday and dont want to go against bedard on wed so Im taking them MONDAY! The oddsmakers making them -250 isnt going to shy me away because Ill just parlay it!

Red Sox are home where things should and need to get good. Wakefield has a great career match up vs tampa and tampa stinks on the road. Shields is also a well capable pitcher but F it as well. Today Yanks and Red Sox will be best friends and work as a team. If not Ill be waiting for football and thats part by choice and part because Ill be out of commission.

Guthrie has allowed 14 homers this season, four in his last two starts

Wakefield has a decision in all 23 starts this season. So with that in mind and the 17-2 record he has vs tampa why shouldn't I think he gets a W.

Oh and I know I should have put this all in one post but Im gathering all this as I go.

Goodluck if you decide to play it. Looks like a winner on paper. That being said, laying -250 against Guthrie? too steep for my liking, but would be crazy if i didn't expect them to win

can it win? sure. but the payout doesnt nearly outweigh the risk of betting a parlay against two quality pitchers. youve conceded that both guthrie and shields are legit. so why bet that both will lose on the same night, and at odds that clearly handcuff the favorites?

"Parlays Are Bad Especially In BB"

Is a mantra chanted by "old School" players. A group which should include yours truly, but doesn`t. I play BB parlays regularily, and am so far ahead as to risk reward it`s not even close, about 7 to 1. But you have to play them with some restraint, i.e. limiting the amount of tms is paramount. The same holds true for RL`s BTW. As for this parlay, Prodigy has a great point, expecting BOTH Guthrie & Shields to lose is not a winning prop. IMHO. BOL in whatever you do.

Absolutely, silver! I think parlays limited to two teams in the right situation actually works IN FAVOR of the bettor. Let's say on a night where you have Bedard at home againt the Devil Rays and Peavy at home against the Pirates, who wouldn't take the parlay, maximize the cash and kill the juice? I have done it several times this year and have only lost two parlays. I disagree that tonight is the night to do it, though. The Red Sox couldn't beat Trachsel yesterday!

do you happen to know any books that allow you to parlay runline/total on a 2 teamer?

Betcris is the book that I use for my parlays. They are great and odds up early. Almost anything you can parlay here. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't bet against Baltimore coming off a big walk off win. Guthrie pitches well against Yanks. Wang struggled last outing. Too many reasons not to play the Yanks tonight. I think Balt will take this game.

I hope so. As far as Guthrie pitches well vs Yankees I would rather say hes pitched well vs yankees. Only has faced them two times going 1-0. Wang is also a big factor in my decision. I think he bounces back from one of his worse career starts.
