TAMPA, FLA. (AP) -- Former pro wrestling champion Brian "Crush" Adams died Monday after he was found unconscious in his home. He was 44.
He showed no visible signs of injury and foul play was not suspected, police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor said. Authorities were awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner before proceeding with their investigation.

Adams' wife, who was not identified, found her usband not breathing and called 911 about 11 a.m. Fire Rescue workers later pronounced him dead, McGregor said.

Adams, a former world tag team champion, last performed for the World Wrestling Federation in 2001 and served intermittently on the roster beginning in 1990, World Wrestling Entertainment said. WWE spokesman George Cabico had no further comment.
Adams death comes less than two months after pro wrestler Chris Benoit killed his wife and son before hanging himself on the cable of a weight machine in his Georgia home. Prescription anabolic steroids were found in the family's home, raising questions about whether the drugs played a role in the killings.

Crush (right)

When he debuted in WWE in summer of 1990, he joined Ax and Smash as the third member of the legendary tag team, Demolition. A change in the rules allowed the trio to hold the World Tag Team Championship, with any two of the three members defending the titles. The trio would lose the championships to The Hart Foundation due to interference from The Legion of Doom, sparking a fierce feud between them and Hawk & Animal.
After Demolition disbanded, Adams returned to WWE in summer of 1992 as the blond-haired Hawaiian powerhouse, “Kona Crush.” He thrilled our fans with his ready smile and fearsome strength. However, a rivalry with Doink the Clown – which culminated in one of the most unforgettable moments in WrestleMania history when Crush was attacked by two Doinks – changed the Hawaiian’s philosophy. He eventually fell under the guidance of Mr. Fuji and engaged in a fierce war with “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Their most memorable battle was WrestleMania X, where Savage defeated Crush in a Falls-Count-Anywhere Match.
After a short absence, attorney Clarence Mason brought Crush back to WWE in summer of 1996. Crush would join the Nation of Domination in 1997, and then formed the Disciples of Apocalypse biker gang with Chainz, Skull and 8-Ball later that year.
Early in 1998, Adams joined World Championship Wrestling and became part of the New World Order, using his own name. He later would go on to team with Bryan Clarke as KroniK and win the WCW Tag Team Championship twice. After WCW folded, KroniK would have a short-lived run in WWE in 2001, fighting with Kane & Undertaker.
After leaving WWE in late 2001, Adams competed in Japan and then attempted a career in boxing. After suffering a shoulder injury while training for first professional bout, Adams called off his boxing efforts and returned to Japan to compete.
Adams wrestled his last match in January 2003

Holy $%^&! Guys you all know about Benoit and colon cleanse, guess who was in Benoits downlink? not Vince, remember I told you about Benoit forcing the boards hand to side step policy and allow Vince to create his own pyramid? WELL ADAMS IS IN BENOITS DOWNLINK. Bump my posts from the Benoit thread, I told you guys about the executive management with colon cleanse and the grand jury investigation.

Guys listen, Adams demonstrated colon cleanse for prospective investorers in the private placement. This information can be obtained if you try hard enough, There is a cd-rom of Benoit and Adams demonstrating proper enema techniques and disciplines. stay tuned

Thanks Journey. I am going for tests Wed and Thurs and should know more next week. Hopefully things will come back ok. Funny thing is i have not really had too many problems with chest pain but since the doctor told me there could be a more serious problem then first thought i have had straight chest pain for 5 days! The mind is a powerful thing i guess.

I'm 31 now. Two years ago I had open heart surgery to repair a valve. (I had a very pronounced heart murmur)

I remember when my cardiologist first told me I would definitely need surgery. I was scared at first also. I definitely didn't expect to have deal with it when I was still in my twenties.

Everything worked out and I was back to work in 7 weeks. I proposed to my wife right after and now we have a beautiful daughter.

My point is that if there is a problem, better that it be caught now while you are still young.

Thanks Joe! That helps. We are very similar. We both live in "Blue hair central" and the reason for the doctor's concern is because of a similar murmur that was discovered and a possible diagnosis of Aortic Insuffiency or Stenosis.
I have had problems with Atrial fibrilation in the past but this valve stuff is new. I am glad everything went well for you and get great encouragement from your story. Thanks again:103631605

Thanks for the kind words Viejo, I have been so anxious about it and hearing positive things have cheered me up a little. Just last week my biggest problem was planning my trip to the bash (Had planned on driving). That was only 6 days ago but it feels like 2 years ago.
I have to go for tests Wed,Thurs and a small test on Friday. Hopefully i will know something by next week. Needless to say it will be a longggg weekend. Thanks again
