ESPN reports that the 2 remaing co-defendants have plea hearings to cop pleas.

Look like it will be 3 vs 1 if and when the trial begins. Vick should have tried to cut a deal. It must suck to know that your own blood have turned on you...couldn't happen to a better guy.

They hinted that he & his legal team were scrambling(shitting) tonight.

I wonder if they're begging for a plea deal? I can't see what they can bring to the table now that everyone else is already singing.

Exactly, there is no point in a plea deal. Vick now looks like Marsellus Wallace from that scene in Pulp Fiction.

With friends like these...

With all the $ Vick has, how does he not cut deals with these guys to say what's in his best interest?

Yea, his deal will be "do you want to stretch before you bend over"?
They got his ass in a sling, they don't need him to plea.

Agreed, they don't NEED Vick to cop a plea now, but they will still offer him one just so they don't look bad. Maximum sentence at this point, before the supplementary indictment which the Feds promised to file later this month, is 5 years. So if Vick agrees to enter a guilty plea and save the Feds all kinds of work, they will give him less than 5 years jail time. I don't think there's anyway he gets off without any jail time.

He can also just leave... His NFL career is screwed, he's rich, and I imagine there are a hell of a lot of countries where dog fighting is not illegal....

The only way he is walking is if a jury acquits him.

Both sides know that there's always a chance that there will be members of the jury sympathetic to Vick; he'll plead, get a huge fine, no jail time and years of probation.

It sure loks like he is going to jail They won't settle for less. ESPN I THINK said they have like 8 people that are going to finger him to what he did. You can't escape that. He must accept the best deal he can with the shortest jail time. GOod!
