There is a possibility that there are some unknown persons that are trying to impersonate well known Rx.com posters and trying to make cash transfer deals at a well known poker site.

I do not give out poster email addresses without that posters permision but that does not mean your email address is not available by other means. Please use the following guidlines when making any kind of financial transaction with another Rx.com poster or any stranger who solicits any kind of financial transaction in any way with you by email or other means such as PM or IM over the internet:

Rx.com Policy regarding financial transactions between posters.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please proceed with extreme caution and operate at your own risk when dealing with other Rx posters privately, especially in financial matters. The Rx.com does not endorse any posters that solicit other posters for loans or transfers and cannot vouch for any posters that attempt to procure loans or transfers from other posters anywhere on this site.

Financial transactions between posters are extrememly risky and The Rx. advises the use of the most serious caution before making any kind of financial transaction with another poster. The Rx.com itself cannot be held responsible when posters fail trying to recover funds loaned, transferred or wagered to other posters under any circumstances.

Unless you personally know a poster or one is vouched for you by someone you highly trust you sould be very hesitent to conduct unsecured financial business with posters that you meet on this any other forum.

I cannot over emphasize how dangerous it is to bet or loan or transfer money with or to complete stangers and expect to be paid in the end. I am not saying all posters are dishonest but utmost caution needs to be practiced whenever posters deal with each others privately, especially in regards to financial matters. The Rx.com cannot help mediate disputed wagers or debts between private parties unless both are willing to cooperate.

Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware..

Thank you, wilheim..

INSIDER is looking for Coaches log in to put his second half bet in.

here is a quote I saw from another thread I just bumped up from insiders

quote from insiders

I myself have been doing this amoung other gambling related things sinse way back in the late 60's. I also try my very best to NOT let outsiders know anything about my business. Have found the less they know the better off i am.
The ones that do know of my business say they have No problems with it, its the ones that "think" they know my business that look down thier nose at me sometimes.
HAve learned also that sometimes its much better to stay out of sight, and out of ther minds.

Please use caution when mentioning posters as possible suspects who well may be innocent. So far I have been appraised of only one incident and hopefully that will be the only one.

Basicically what happened is someone contacted an Rx.com poster by AIM and said he was a popular and well known veteran Rxer who would like to make a transfer at Full Tilt Poker. The approached poster who I am not going to identify made the transfer and has not heard word one back from the recepient as of this morning and is apparently out the amount of the transfer.

However this matter could still work itself out as I am waiting to hear back from the veteran poster and see if somehow he made a legitimate deal but has been offline or out of touch since the funds were transferred.

To be honest I am not comfortable giving this much information out but feel this issue is serious enough to allow me to disclose what I know so far.

Thanks, wilheim

Golden rule #1.....Get your $ before sending. These scams will only increase in number.

I've learned this the hard way in the past.
Golden Rule #2 Do not send/try to help anyone no matter how well you think you know them. Wait the extra 3-4 days it may take to use a valid deposit option.

For The Record

The transfer is definitely a scam as I have heard from the Veteran Rx poster who is also emailing the victim poster in this case. I believe him when he says he incredulous that someone would try to impersonate him.

Please be vigilaint for emails or IMs or PMs at other sites (we do not have PMs here at The Rx.com) from Rx posters that you really do not know looking to do any sort of financial transactions.

Thanks, wilheim

I was told someone has same name as mine at two poker sites, but I cannot remember which sites.

I have never played poker at any internet site using this name.

I have never mentioned it before Wilheim, but I have received 4 or 5 emails from people who say that they just read the rx. They always want to do transfers to that site, but each time, they INSIST on me transferring first. Of course I have never done that, but they start cussing when I tell them that is the way I do business.

I know that you didnt give out that email address since it was the email address that I post here. It is not my rx email address.

I wont name anyone, but there was one poster here who sent a paypal payment via credit card first. So the money was transferred into that star site. Well a week later, paypal confiscated the funds out of my account saying that they sender's account was fraudulent. That one cost me $450, but the poster has paid some of it back since then. He will pay the rest back, that is the reason why I never mentioned it here. It may have just been a mistake in the paypal system, but this was 6 months ago. The guy didnt immediately send me anything, I had to email a few times before he asked to pay it back by montly payments

Sorry to hear about that as both are victims in this case. One by name, one by money.

I saw a post earlier that seems to fit with the story, so I'll report my own post here to paste the link to that post for you, Wil, to delete that post so the victims are still protected unless they want it public.

Cheers,
