Rob, it's difficult to say when someone should be past a specific grieving point. Obviously I don't know your personal situation with regards to whether or not you ever had a family member murdered or not. I am hoping that is something you have never had to experience.
I believe that it helps some people to know that when a loved one is murdered and the defendant is found guilty and sent to prison that it may offer some kind of closure. You must remember that OJ is still walking the streets today. They, like a lot of people, believe OJ got away with two murders.
I think maybe they felt a little bit better when OJ was found guilty in a civil trial. When they found out that most of his assets were protected they probably felt like he still got away with it. If one of my children were murdered you can bet I would spend the rest of my life making sure the person I felt was responsible was made to pay.
