I get these all the time from Moneybookers, Paypal, and a bunch of banks all of which I have never done busines with. This is the first one I have received from Western Union who I haven't used in years. FYI. I do not have a Western Union Account, never did. Email just received at 3:30AM EDT.

Dear Customer
We have to notice that your account is suspended because Western Union major Terms are being changed.
To re-activate your account you need to agree with the new Terms here or contact an Agent near you.

Follow this link to re-activate: ACTIVATE after that, your account will be automatically re-activated.

Thank you for using westernunion.com!

I have disabled the ACTIVATE link and the Wu.com link so no one will click on either and get their PC invaded by a trojan.

Pay Pal says that they will never ever ask for your SS # or password in an email.

2nd, Pay Pal will ALWAYS address you by your full NAME in an email. A sure spot to the scam is an email addressed...

Dear Pay Pal User,

or something like that. I get them all the time.

Cant speak on the Western Union thing.

I get these ALL the time as well....I have a few email's and Everyday I receive about 3 or 4 of them.

Tell about Paypal, when they Really send an Email, they Always address you by Full name.

Best way I do it is I put my mouse over the link, and at the bottom of the page comes up the URL. You can tell from that link ( even though the link itself says wwpaypal, etc ) it will come up with other shit and there is paypal somewhere in the body. ( ww.realtime/$%#%$paypal.com ) * leaving out the other "w" so it doesn't come up as a link *
It should ONLY come up as the Full URL

I get these from Ebay,Paypal,Bank of America,Etc.

Also a NEW one is..." You have a Greeting card from a Friend " or Mate or Family, Etc.

The other day, My wife Opened one of these in her Email...The computer went haywire....But my Norton Caught it in time..

Dear Pay Pal User,

That is what I get from Paypal, reason is how can they know my name when I have never in my life used PayPal. Some scammers picked up my will publicised email aaddress and take a shot at me every few weeks with the Paypal scam and it's always Dear PayPal User. Crooks looking to get me to click on their link so no telling what kind of Trojan will worm it's way into my PC.

JMan, same thing with Moneybookers with me, they keep emailing about once a month saying I have like $185 in my account (never had one in my life) but to get the money I have to fill out a questionaire which includes all of my personal information including SSN. They can kiss my derriere.

I automatically delete all of this stuff on sight. Lately banks have been emailing me saying I need to click on a link to update my account. I know what banks I have used for the last ten or so years and these are not any of them. More thieves looking to steal my identity.

The problem is not one I have because I can smell a scam pretty well but I know there are plenty of naive people out there (especially the elderly) that fall for these scams which really pisses me off.

Finally I win anywhere from 10 to 50 million pounds or dollars at least once a week from mostly countries in Africa. Once in a while I also win the Irish Sweepstakes for 9 or 10 million pounds also. I am really lucky that way.:nono5:
