if they get hot in the end it could very well happen, great story with ankiel providing a boost to the team as well.

They don't have Weaver so I don't see it happening.........Teaze that is a horrible division I remember when the NL west had a barely over 500 or under 500 team make the playoffs IMO Any team that can't play 500 baseball should forefit there spot in the playoffs

It's the best story in baseball in some time. Who didn't feel sorry for the kid? Just unbelievable to see him out there and hitting homeruns. Really inspiring.

Dude your still 3.5 back, I wouldnt get too excited. Every team will get on a hot streak during the season. Get to .500 first and then you can talk... also the cards will get piss pounded by the Cubs this wknd like usual

so if the cubs lose their next two games will you stop talking about how great the cubs are? one fucking game over .500 and all the non-stop cubs are gonna win the division easy. that couldn't be further from the truth. 2-8 and 3-7 in last 10 for the cubs and brew sounds like a couple of teams are going the way to me.

i would have said the same thing about the cubs before the last couple of weeks. what is wrong with zambrano blowing up the last 2 starts. cubs went through a hell of a hot streak they will probably hold on like the cards did last year. good luck
