PROSECUTORS WANT YEAR IN PRISON FOR VICK
NORFOLK -- Federal prosecutors have offered NFL star Michael Vick a plea deal that would recommend he serve at least one year in prison, the Virginian-Pilot reported Wednesday. The newspaper said Vick has until Friday to accept the deal or face additional racketeering charges from a federal grand jury in US District Court

So I guess if he agreed and started immediately he could just about be back for training camp next year.

Remember, that is just a recommendation....the final sentence is totally determined by the judge, who will obviously consider the prosecutor's recommendations but he has the power to change it.

And this particular Judge has a reputation for giving out "Harsh" sentences.

Take the year and live happily ever after , you made a ridiculous mistake, be thankful you're getting a short sentence.

It still isn't the worst thing in the world being Vick...even if he never plays again.

Why ? You think he has money stashed or what. Courts, public opinion and the NFL tend to have their own agenda. I'll go out on a limb a suspect Vick has burned through some major dough, with not much to show for in actual wealth or future opportunity (s).
