Ok. I never do POLLS, unless it's pole dancers (har har, sorry), but I am curious, as I love to hear from YOU what the verdict is on the last two teams left to duke-it-out in WORLD SERIES play for 2007

This ain't no competition, this ain't no bragging thread, this ain't no disco.

Just (ok, I'm asking you PLEEEZ) just post who YOU think will be in the WS 2007 at the end of this baseball season. Bonus points for any explanations and detailed analysis. This is purely a casual POLL to get you guys to weigh-in on what you think =

Who is it gonna be?

Give AL and NL matchup prognostications and feel very free to give explanations as to why you selected the teams you selected.

***This WILL be very helpful, if only to create conversational dueling.

I, personally, am VERY interested in your opinions, as I like to bet FUTURES, so chime in, mi amigos. No pressure, no BS, just state your case, and NO horseshit if YOU disagree with someone, OK?

Just make YOUR case, but don't shit on someone else's opine.

You state who the two teams are, then STEP UP and explain why each will be involved and, finally:

WHO WILL WIN THE WORLD SERIES from your two teams.

Simple.

This will be (hopefully) VERY informative, as there are some very nice FUTURE plays in the books at this time.

Please chime in. Thanks in advance you RX'ers.

Uncle Steve ( winner might get a small prize from me, but not sure yet, a souvenir or a pre-paid dinner at Denny's)

AL vs. NL in the Series - Who is it gonna be, dudes?????????????

Red Sox- Beckeet, Schilling and Craps Man are a tough top 3

Braves- Smoltz Hudson and Steve Avery are a tough top 3

Sid Bream coming off the bench for the Braves is clutch

Jim Rice coming off the bench for the Red Sox is clutch

WORLD SERIES teams =

My prediction:

NY Yanks

vs. either of these NL two:

1. Mets
2. Cubs

book it.

YANKS will win the pennant, I was looking at their dugout tonight.

Damn. Everyone in that bastard is a killer player. Clemens and Torre just sitting there, watching.

Abreu, Jeter, Alex, Cano, all of them.

Massive team with a massive payroll = but, it isn't a 'shallow' payroll = these guys are damn good.

My pick to win the WS 2007 is the NY Yanks.

sb.com odds.

NY Yanks to win it all = 7/2
Mets 6-1
Cubs 6-1

I'm betting tonight on the Yanks. $400/$1400

Tigers vs. Cubs.......and I'm holding on for dear life with my Tigers at this point!:smoking: :smoking:

Definately a "homer" pick, but I got that at 7-1 to win the pennant, and 14-1 to win the series about 3 weeks into the season at Heritage Sports. If they don't start playing, they'll be sitting home.

Has everyone simply overlooked the hottest team in baseball the Seattle Mariners? Ok, go ahead and laugh but this team simply will not go away from the Anaheim Angels. As hot as the Yankees have been they can't catch them in the Wild Card either. They have a few things going for them including:

Great Defense
Solid Hitting #3 in the MLB
Good Bullpen #5 in the AL
The starters are not spectacular but have pitched very well

I know the lineup looks kind of shady almost as if they should be in last place but they're winning big games day in and day out.

When are the East Coast folks that go to bed when the M's are whipping up on the AL going to realize this team's for real?

BOSS - you know, you are dead-on.

M's have truly come to life, and if you look at their pitching staff, it is getting the job done in a quiet, stealth, way.

Might be worth a c-note on them as a side bet, haven't seen the odds, but wouldn't hurt a damn thing to play them to win-it-all

OK, at sb.com, M's are:
8-1 to win AL
15-1 to win the WS 2007

Hey, why not take a flyer ?

good, valid point as of right now.

Freeway Series between the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles. What drama that would bring to the fall classic.

The thing that nobody realizes is that there is no easy out in the M's lineup. Yeah Sexson is batting .210, but he has the ability to jack it out on any pitch. Every night is a new hero. That's how we get the shit done.
