I never understood why Pedro recieved more publicity for HBIP.

I thought this for a LONG time. Clemens is the king of HBIP.

Funny you say that Funk. I consider them equal. Both will not hesitate to drill you and have done it a million times. Anyone remember Shelby of Detroit charging the mound vs Clemens with a bat in his hand? Clemens just stood there....I would have booked. Cecil Fielder and Mo Vaughn were pushing each other for a while in that one. I might have to give the edge to Pedro but I tell you they both would drill you in a heartbeat.

Pretty sure Clemens didnt try to hit him intentionally. It was an 0-2 count and there 2 guys on base. He was trying to jam him though as Maybin has shown he has struggled with the inside pitch.

really happy for him but last nite he looked really bad. Struck out 2 twice and misplayed a ball in LF. Sure he will be fine in the longrun but looked a little in awe making his debut at Yankee stadium.

Didn't realize it was an 0-2 count, so I really doubt it was intentional.

If it was a situation that looked to be intentional, the Tigers would be *****'s not to respond against one of the Yankee stars.
