Anyone have this stat handy? "Runner on 3rd, one out, how often does he score"?

lately I cannot buy a runner from third scoring with one out, sometimes no outs....already today in the SF/FLA game 0-2 , both teams get a man to 3rd one out and nothing.

I lost 3 totals Wednesday night with the 'over run' on 3rd in the 9th with one out and all 3 'died on the bag'

:puppy: lately it feels like 15%

It has to be at least 67% I would think on average...I should know this one, but I don't

why aren't you posting your plays

before u were regarded as one of the best baseball cappers around

My better sports to bet are in-game football and college basketball.

I wish I had posted because I've had a great season, I just got tired of posting the plays daily for various reasons...so I just occasioanlly post a really strong play when i have one.

I didn't bet the first half though, was just burnt out for a while....there are a few posters here who see my picks daily....had a horrible week though.

Any idea what the answer to my question is?

If I had to guess I'd say 60%. It just happened twice in the Yanks/Tigers game. 1st time run scored, 2nd stranded at third

Ha...I always associate this phenomenon...or the lack of fundamental to score that run as the 'Adam Dunn Situation'

In 2003, a string of 1,086 PA and 66 opportunities with a runner on third and less than two outs...Adam Dunn finally hit a sac-fly.

I think the strikeouts go way up with a guy on third and less than 2 outs. I know what you mean about going through streaks were you can get guys in from third. It seems, at times, that pitchers can strikeout batters at will in this situation.

Yahoo has some situational stats on this. Some guys strikeout half the time with a guy on thrid, LT2O.

I noticed last year that Ryan Howard was striking out a ton with guys on third, LT2O. This year, it's like a car accident for him...17 strikouts in 31 at bats, with 8 walks. Lifetime 34 k's in 79 at bats. He's got a rep as this big RBI guy, but he's on of the most unreliable batters to get a run in from third for you.
