Headed to Laughlin mid-week and wanted to know if anyone from here had been there and had any advice. Basically just looking to gamble. Staying at the Edgewater, I think.

Play the bank of machines called FLUSH ATTACK at the Riverside(worth $25-30+ an hour on paper) only in the Flush Attack mode. Play one coin very, very slowly until the mode light comes on then play to hit the flush. This can found in a few other places, but the Riverside is the best, possibly in the entire country.

For sportsbetting, head to the Golden Nugget which uses the same lines as the casino in Vegas. You can find good numbers at the other joints but their limits are ridiculously low.

For dining, try the gourmet room at the Pioneer, the buffet at Harrahs, and the waterfall restaruant at the Golden Nugget near the lobby.

For fun, rent a jet ski and tour the colorado river.

Not sure if they offer it anymore, but the shopping mall across from the Edgewater use to have BLACKJACK MATCHPLAYS at the information center if you ask, which if you get 3-5 times per day is worth an automatic $30 in your pocket.........only use one at a time at the casino every 3-4 hours as they are limited to one per day by the casinos.

Hope this helps,

I didn't even think that Flush Attack existed any more. Used to play it at the Flamingo at their banks on the river. We used to try and get a pat flush, then hold it and play anothr machine until a flush triggered the attack. Then we'd hit ours and collect. If I'm not mistaken it paid around the same as 4 of a kind in JOB, 125 coins.

Laughlin sucks unless your 75 and retired. I equate this place to The Plaza in Vegas. Have fun.

Definitely caters to the older crowd (first time I visited I was 30 and was asked for ID at every table I sat at)

Agree with Fish - Golden Nugget for sports. I had a lot of luck at Harrah's (quite a long time ago) plus you have the bonus of playing in a casino famous for that crazy biker shootout.

For dining - there's an Italian place over at the Ramada Express that's serves some really good food for not a bad price.

Have fun.
