He was wrong here but Whale usually knows his shit. Truth is, this wasn't one of those stats that there's no meaning behind, Tampa just can't hit the knuckleball. They have a guy in like Single A in their organization that pitched in spring training against them, they couldn't touch the guy. He got hit harder in the minor leagues than what many of their regulars could do. No fluke, Phil Niekro could probably roll off the couch and shut this team out. Wakefield owns Tampa, as long as the same guys are here it will continue on. What he is now, 19-2 career? Pathetic.
