IF it wasn't for Gagne blowing 3 games the Red Sox would be in much better shape. Think about this, the Gagne has given up more runs this year with the Red Sox than with Texas who he was with for the entire first half! That is incredible. He was pitching well before he got here and has folded up like a cheap suit.

5-0 Sox!

:nohead: but he's 'just lucky'...

I like Wake of course but am not the biggest Wake fan. He has longevity and consistency on his side. Also is a bullpen saver eating up innings or coming out of the bullpen if needed. He has started several games (including a 2 hitter) on two days rest. He has got that on his side. He is very streaky and when he is on look out and vice versa.

Streaky indeed, 19-1 vs TB ...:103631605 Believe it or not the Boston Red Sox are probably my 2nd favorite team.

IF that is in reference to me getting mad...you have a funny way of showing it. You made a lot of attacks on the Sox in your threads claiming "Sox fans are hard to take" so you can't root for them and more. I am here and think all the Sox fans are fine for the most part (not perfect but fine). If they are your second favorite team then that is good.

On the Red Sox with FH on the opposite side.
I dont believe that for one second.

-FH- is the one who wanted to see Wake start here. It didnt even look possible at first.

Think he's got the big luchiano out and he is reverse jinxing.

Lowell goes yard. Someone will have a super baseball player next year. Mike Lowell is a very good player. I want him back unless we can get Arod. THen maybe Arod to SS and Lowell at third though you are paying big money to Lugo and it is hard to bench him. I have no prob taking Arod.

So many tough decisions to make when you hve a 150-200 million dollar payroll.:nohead:

It really ruins a great sport.

I agree though the game is not ruined. The playoff race is wide wide open and many teams have a chance. Baseball is booming. The Yanks have a much higher payroll than anybody and it is not close. AND in 2009 with a new park it is going ot get much much worse in the salary disparity. Sox are up there but not near the Yanks. I would like to see a cap like NBA and Football! It works fine in both leagues.

Remy - "I love to see pitchers make pop up catches like that! Everybody is coming from all around and wakefield says 'no problem, I got it.' "

I agree. Good to see the pitcher wave other players off for a catch every once in a while.
