We're going to be living on other planets and solar systems some day. If we stay on the earth, we'll perish if resources run out or if there is some sort of catastrophy. They have also made important develpments and advancements in sciences, developing recycling, energy, medical, biological, mechanical and other technology that is applied here on Earth. And because we can.

Interesting that you should mention that, I read a lot of channeled stuff and the time period of 2011 - 2012 keeps popping up. I forgot about the Mayan calendar that someone else mentioned.
Keep in mind that this could be distorted info or even a deliberate disinformation campaign, so who knows about accuracy. It goes like this...
The Earth, currently 3rd density (physical) in terms of being able to support living entities is scheduled to move into a 4th density (ethereal) environment in the 2011 - 2012 time period, as we measure it. This is some sort of very long term natural cycle. The 3rd density version of the Earth will still exist in the physical plane but will either be unihabitable or not allowed to be inhabited by physical beings. This will be concurrent with some sort of 3rd density physical disaster, most probably cometary showers which occur in a 3600 year cycle and are currently due. Service-to-other entities may continue to incarnate on the the 4th density Earth (due to their faster vibratory frequency). Service-to-self entities (like myself
) will need to choose another, more livable, physical planet in the galaxy/universe other than Earth for future incarnations, since conditions on Earth will not be hospitable in the 3rd density (physical plane) after the 2011 -2012 time frame for souls with slower vibratory rates.
