AEG to build 22,000 seat arena in Las Vegas right behind Bally's

with the hope to attract an NBA or NHL franchise. Just out of curiousity, if any of you came to vegas, would you consider going to a game? Would you come to Las Vegas specifically to see a game?

I live here, I'd be more inclined to get NHL season tix than NBA tix...the NBA is a corporate event anyway. I don't think either would do very well in this town unless the team was a winner.

I think hockey would be huge in LV, as long as they don't move a Canadian team.

The only problem would be that the road team would have more fans on some nights than the home team.

Other than that, i think its a great idea for hockey. Could the league get any worse?

No city should be allowed a hockey franchise unless they average at least a foot of snow a year! That being said, NBA - yes, NHL- NO!

They have a great team and are worthy champions but, if any 5 Ducks walked down the street together I will guarantee 99 percent of passersby will not recognize any one of them. Try that in Ottawa or Montreal or even Detroit. Plus, I guarantee the Ducks' tv ratings suck, just like most US teams.

I lived there for 2 years (recently) and you heard about this every week. Mayor Goodman is fighting for a team like none other. When I lived there if they had a team I would've went quite often. Don't think people will come from out of town to see a game though.

Jerry Bruckheimer's been trying to bring an NHL franchise to Vegas for a while. Personally, I'd move the Phoenix franchise up to Vegas, bring in a superstar or two and you'd have a great draw on the strip.
