Yes it was a stupid question Matt, how should anyone have responded?? "Kids, study your geography book every night." thats about the only thing to be said. Whole thing is a joke anyway, a thing of the past.

It can be tough to be put on the spot, but don't forget that she chose to enter this competition and it was her responsibility to train for it. And she didn't just give a poor answer, she gave a horrible one.

She was on the 'Today show' this morning. And I was very impressed by her. She definatly is not an air-head.

She said something like it was odd question and she just froze. So Ann Curry asked her it again after the interview and she gave a terrefic answer.

Seriously, it's a dumb question to ask a teen in a pageant. What is she supposed to say "Yeah I know tons of people that cant find the US on the map. A lot of Americans are dumb as hell." ?! Ive never associated with anyone who cant find the US on a map and I am sure she hasnt either.
