Looks like this Redskins/Ravens game has created an interesting predictament for the books. I don't know if all of the rules are the same for all of the books, but many of these rules are pretty easy. All straight bets are voided. Parlays are interesting. I'm not sure whether books revert or not. I'd imagine they just revert down.
But I've been playing teasers this preseason and have Cleveland and the over in these teasers, which are all but winners if the game finishes out. That's besides the point now. Anyway, what I find most interesting are the teaser rules. Are these consistent rules from book to book?
5Dimes reverts their teasers down to the next level. In the event that a teaser goes below the amount of teams required for a complete teaser, the option is there to the bettor to fill out their teaser with another team provided the game goes within 7 days of the remainder of the wagers' conclusions. (In other words, if you have a 2-team teaser and one part of it is "no-action," you have to fill the 2nd leg with something else within 7 days or the whole teaser becomes no-action.)
Now be careful with this because I had to contact 5Dimes to get their explanation of this and have to contact CS to fill out the teasers when that time comes. Check with your sportsbook if you fall into a similar situation and please report what the conclusion is. Like I said before, I can't help but wonder if all of the books stay consistent with this.
