Stosh, big Pirates fan here, but I would never take them when Armas toes the rubber. He started to come back around, but his last two starts have been terrible.

Sweep avoidance is not a winning proposition. You are playing a struggling team against a loose team and the odds generally move toward the team trying to salvage the last game of the series.

The only situation in which I play the anti-sweep angle is when a team has used their closer and set-up man two straight days and they are unavailable ... that means they might be going to some loser in the 8th and 9th ... and that is what happened with Pittsburgh today. They lost the lead in the 8th because Capps was unavailable.
