First off anyone thinking that Buffalo will go over the six win mark this season is kidding themselves. Buffalo's defense is horrible!!! They will get run on all season. The interior defensive line is a mess. McCargo (First round bust, injury prone), Tripplett (Free agent bust), and Kyle Williams are all terrible. The defensive ends are descent. Kelsay signed a huge off season deal and will have to prove to everyone that he is worthy of such a deal. Soon after his deal was signed Schobel bitched and whined and the Bills ripped up the final three years of his contract and gave him a new 7 year deal on Friday worth about 51 million. The linebackers could be descent but they are young and also lacking the veteran leadership. Posluszny was a nice second round pick and should become a star in this league. The secondary is very weak. Quick name me the starting corners on this team??? Enough said. Whitner is a decent safety but still very young, and it still bugs me that he was selected 8th overall a few years back. They dished out a ton of money to try to fix this offensive line and it should be better, but so far they have not looked very good in the preseason. No one in Oakland seemed too upset when we signed Langston Walker (5 million a year are you kidding me) and after watching him in the preseason I can see why. Jason Peters is quickly becoming a star in this league and Derrick Dockery was also a great pickup at guard. Unfortunately they have no depth to speak of and if one of those guys go down we are in serious trouble. On to the offense. JP Losman will be gone in a few years, if not next year and Trent Edwards will be the starting quarterback of The Toronto (couldn't resist) Bills. Losman has looked horrible in the preseason and other than a great deep ball has shown me nothing since he has been the starter of this team. He is not a leader and I sense that the players on this team don't have much confidence in him. Marshawn Lynch should be a great one in a few years. Keep an eye on Fred Jackson. At receiver we have an all pro in Lee Evans and then not much else. Josh Reed is not a #2 receiver in this league and Peerless Price better show me more then last season. I do like Roscoe Parish but he is too small to be a staring wide receiver, but we have to find ways to get him the ball because this guy can fly. The tight ends stink. And to top it all off The Bills have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. A 3-13 record would not shock me at all.

Thanks for the hometown insight. I have Losman (backup) and Evans on my fantasy teams and think they could put up some numbers since the Bills will be in shootouts and/or behind.

nice insight on the bills situation.

i do see them givng up a whole lot of points. but they do have the potential to score some points..

fading them or taking the over early in the season may be a very profitable idea earlly in the season before other bettors catch on...

ps...bookmakers already know these facts but we can still bank on the naivety of the betting public to ensure soft lines

As an avid fan and season ticket holder what I can't understand is why we keep drafting RB's from states like California or Florida. It's way too much of a culture shock for some of these guys like Willis McGahee and it makes no season to draft with the kinds of winters we have here.

Im too much of a homer so im predicting we go 8-8 and maybe sneak into the wildcard but nonetheless this is JP Losman's (another Californian) last chance to lead this team. I will officially be booing him by the second home game if things don't go well.

Enjoy the season Harrington, let me know if you attend any of the games this season.

I think 6-8 wins is expected.

Yes, they are weak at CB, but they also play the Tampa 2 which will compensate. You're not going to see McGee (former all-pro btw) and Webster playing man that much. Probably going to see a yard-gashed bend, but do not break D .. which is good considering they aren't the most talented group.

Offense is really unknown at this point, and anything is pure speculation. They have run an extremely vanilla offense all pre-season, but Losman, Evans & Parrish are hardly vanilla type guys. There will be big plays.

[FONT=&quot]I could not agree more; I was a season ticket holder for many years until I said no more! This team has done nothing, and is headed backwards rather than forward. They remind me of the 2-14 days before Jim Kelly. Perhaps the biggest loss was that of Bill Pollian as a GM, after telling Ralph's daughter that he did not like how she was running operations. This is football and it is a business of winning, simply Ralph has become cheap and will not commit to this fact. Look at Indy after Bill was hired-multiple division championships, and the ever-coveted Superbowl championship.

Always good to hear balanced views from Fans and Harry's well balanced. :103631605
The thing I would be thinking about is I got the Total posted at 40 and the Books have opened up 37, considering what Harry has said and the fact Denver not only has problems on their D-Line but the loss of Warrick Holdman and questions in the secondary, surely the over is a steal. Some kind book may give me a soft 36.5 :drink:

I don't think The Bills are capable of putting up huge numbers on offense, but it might be there only chance of winning.

Hey Harrington. Fred Jackson played on my hometown team Sioux City Bandits a couple of years ago. I know it is just afl3, but this guy was by far the class of the league. He can flat out play.

I watched him in the NFL Europe League and he played well.

I have been checking the box scores and he seems to be having a pretty good training camp.

Good luck on your Bills this year.

Under six wins for Buffalo has now just become the biggest wager I have ever made. Six being a push, no way this team will hit seven wins. I have never been more confident about a wager in my life.

I wouldn't count too fast. Lost on a last second FG, and the post Everett game can't really be a true indicator.

Bills have 4 games with Jets and Phins .. there has to be a few wins somewhere in there.
