TOP THREE pitching mismatches on Monday, August 27, 2007

The #1 mismatch is now 10-1 since I started posting them. The others are only 12-9. Here are today's three:

Pitching mistmatches

1. Carlos Silva (MIN) +122 over Paul Byrd (CLE)

Silva (Last 3 starts): 1.29 ERA, 0.76 WHIP
Byrd (Last 3 starts): 9.45 ERA, 1.95 WHIP

2. Barry Zito (SF) -133 over Josh Fogg (COL)

Fogg (Last 3 starts): 9.19 ERA, 1.72 WHIP
Zito (Last 3 starts): 2.14 ERA, 0.81 WHIP

3. Derek Lowe (LAD) -191 over Mike Bacsik (WAS)

Backsik (Last 3 starts): 7.80 ERA, 1.67 WHIP
Lowe (Last 3 starts): 2.70 ERA, 0.90 WHIP

geesh this didnt pan out too good yesterday but we all knew it was bound for a losing day. im sketchy about the giants play. can they possibly win again after sweeping the brewers?

#1 is still money in the bank though.Still, the only GOOD game Byrd has pitched in his last 5 starts is...you guessed it: Minnesota

your high on minnesota after they swept baltimore and beat up on bedard? the indians had a tough win yesterday over the royals but that might have woken this team up that nothing is going to come easy to them. im not convinced minnesota is set to make a run, and mauer is ailing

I'm not sold on Minn., just cautious on Clev. It would be an automatic no-play if not for the run these matchups have been on

I am a fool I like BYRD tonight,and ZITO. Hate to go against your #1 mis-match. (p.s only a few weeks untill the BILLS get a taste of Blitzburgh!!!

Have you looked into any college games as of yet?

I like the giants today.....

Zito is a 2nd half pitcher and is proving it with some solid outings as of late.

I like 2 & 3.

Cheack this out:

Zito has a 2.41 RA in his last four starts.

Lowe is 2-0, 1.93 in his last couple starts.

Silva is 2-1, 1.75 in his last five starts but

Indians won nine of the last twelve starts by Byrd.

Took a look at the lines last night and twins was the only one that I liked. Seeing that its your top mismatch definitely means Im goin to bet it. Question is how often do you win 3 out of 3 in this top 3 thing you got going. Its doing real good so Im thinking about gettin on lowe. not sure if i want to do zito just because I dont know how often you win 3out of 3

Its happened two or three times I think. Two other times it was thwarted by a team blowing a 9th inning lead. So it coulda been 4 times but instead its 2 or 3. Not too sure. I almost always bet the top play only and if I want more late action, I take the #2 pick. GL

flava,,, dammm,, the Minni pick was rock solid,,,,, of all the plays that the WHIp put out that one was one of the best,,,, and it lost,,, you know where my heareets at???? eventhough we lost the play it was still a rock solid play,,,, love the piks flava,,,

Another 2-1 night Mista:money8: very nice, like I mentioned I have been trying something very similar to what you have been doing for 3 seasons now & also have tweaked it i n such a way that I get a decent feel for totals as well.
