wednesday night.

minnesota at cleveland.
santana vs. sabathia.

opening line is -110/-110 (on a 20-cent line)
total of 7.5 under (-120)

i really think you could come up with 10 reasons to play one side ... and then 10 equally compelling reasons to play the other side.

same for the total.

talk about an absolute coin flip.

this kind of game is a bookmaker's dream. no edge on either side. they'll just book the juice.

That's one game I'll be watching for pure enjoyment only. Should be a good one.

Is Santana really gonna lose to the Indians 4 times in 1 year?

it's absolutely mind-boggling to think santana has pitched 27 innings against cleveland this year

* 38 strikeouts
* 5 walks
* 11 earned runs (somewhat high for him, but still more than keeping them in the game)

and he is 0-3 to show for it.

his 2 starts in cleveland have been sick ....

his first start in cleveland this year, he was outdueled by carmona in a 2-0 game.

and then the most recent game in cleveland, he had the most dominating stuff of any pitcher ive ever seen in person, but was forced to take a no-decision.

cleveland did absolutely NOTHING against him save for hafner's homer to tie it. but cleveland looked totally overmatched. the changeup completely overwhelmed them and nobody in the lineup hit the ball hard.

i really cant imagine cleveland beating santana again. they havent really hit him hard all season. theyve done just enough, not to mention getting GREAT pitching from the starter that opposed him each time.

right now it seems like cleveland is FINALLY starting to hit their stride. and detroit is fading fast and the indians appear to sense it.

but i really couldnt put money behind cleveland tomorrow, even with sabathia, knowing that even if they DID beat santana, it wouldnt bring any "+" money back.

under might be the way to go. something like a 3-2 final is likely.
