He was a fairly good player, but his coaching style SUCKED!

He has cost me thousands of dollars with his goofy-ass antics, he always appeared 'clueless' in games and his choice of pulling pitchers, oh man, will go down in HISTORY.

I was actually pretty surprised that he got canned. He did take his team to the world series just a few years ago. The biggest complaint i have with him is that his teams don't show up until after the all-star break. Every year they are way out of contention in the first half, and eak their way back into in the second half. When it happens over and over you have to look at the skipper to place the blame. Can't say i really agree about their talent level though. If you ask me they are a bottom tier team. Biggio is old, Berkman is solid but not what he was the last few years, and when there 4 average starters (excluding Oswalt) lets someone on they can just walk to 2nd because Ausmus can't throw out the trash. Lee is a stud and of coarse they have Oswalt is one of the best in the league. They are underachieving no doubt, but you cant blame the manager for a weak pitching staff. Just my 2 cents.
