espn has said this at least 20 times tongiht. if you listen to the YES broadcast they say it at least 50 times a game between Micheal Kay and the other dooche bag. the yankees radio broadcast with john sterling and the cunt lady say it another 50 times per game. nobody cares anymore. just call the flipping game

I'm tired of my teams loading the bases with no outs and then not even scoring, the next batter's can't even put the ball in play....it's been uncanny lately....every team doing an Oakland A's impersonation

Me, too.

Call the game. As it is, in front of you.

If you need to kill time? Show some highlight plays, like they do at sports bars.

anything, but mundane BS.

As for Vick = that is soley between the justice system and Vick. He knows what he did, he said he did whatever is illegal, so that's it, then.

Let's move on to something interesting = like, some of that hollywood *****, all those gals keep showing. That is a helluva more interesting than what Vick did or the Joba horsecock BS. That dude will be done in about 1/2 a season. Yanks look a bit desperate, $28 MILLION for Clemens.

George is sick, must have Alz.

Stupify. everyone in the place, stupify!

agree, Raj.

This has TRULY been the weirdest two weeks for MLB.

Weird stuff, changing the outcome of the games, 100 runs in an inning, (being a bit facitious), and all kinds of crap. hard to cap when the teams that are in postition, stink it up. I can give all kinds of details, doesn't matter.

It's basball.

they are the pitching rules that yanks have instituted for joba chamberlin. there new star bullpen guy. if he pitches one inning he has to have one day rest. if he pitches 2 innings he needs 2 days rest. he also can only come out of the pen to start a inning. thats all the YES network and yanks radio broadcast talk about all game. then espn said it at least 20 times last night. he has been good so far but they act like he is the next coming. just gets old hearing the same thing over and over when its irrelevent and most people that are not yankee fans dont even know who he is.

I agree with the part of the rules being overblown. But what this guy has done so far should be talked about.

Like they were saying last night, what is the purpose of making this public knowledge. It is fine if you wanna have that rule in place, but why the need to let everyone know? If anything it can only help the opponents.

i dont agree or disagree with the rules the yanks have set in place. i am just tired about hearing about the rules every 10 seconds during a yankees game be it on TV or on the radio. If you watch to yanks games on YES or listen to there radio broadcast you would know what i mean. Micheal Kay and John Sterling are annoying enough as it is. Then espn jumped on it last night as well.

Terps makes a good point in that it can only help the other team.

From his stats and talent all indications are he is a stud and "potentially" great. His minor league numbers are scary. It is smart that the Yankees are handling him with kid gloves at a young age. I don't generally listen to broadcasts, but I can imagine your point that is annoying is correct. Most commentators tend to hammer the same point over and over.

That's why I didn't know what it was; I NEVER listen to those bullshit sports talk shows. It's bad enough I spend all day betting this crap. Anyways, don't you get it? They're hyping and pushing a weak, mediocre at best product in baseball and sports, overall. When they come up with a gimmick or special interest story the sports media takes it and runs as far as they can with it, because they don't have much to go on to begin with. Spectator sports was an ingenius concept meant to pacify the 9-to-5 masses, who care more about their team winning than the actual players on the team they cheer for. Now...go on about the "Joba Rules"...(it sounds like "Georgia Rules", the recent movie that came and went...such creative genius).

I'm pretty sure one of the other rules is that Susan Waldman has to suck him off after every game too. She is by far the worst announcer in the history of earth. If she did a game with Joe Buck I think the booth would spontaneously combust.

Baseball is slow, relative to, say, basketball or hockey.

Lots of 'dead air', so these guys have to try and find something (anything) to say to fill it up. I would like them to just show some highlight reels during down times of some great plays, great moments, in the GAME of Baseball, you know.

Quit losing the TV audience. I mean, I know I couldn't do any better, but showing that kid sitting there in the bullpen with his cap pulled down, chomping on gum or whatever, seeds, they did that for 10 minutes. Enough!

IF and when I actually have the VOLUME turned up on a televised game of ANY sport? I immediately turn off the volume when the game starts, I can see it, and listen to some kick-ass music. All you really need is to just see, not hear.
THEN, next day, or later that night? ESPN will give you every important detail about the game you will ever need. Concise and short. MUCH better.

It's SO bad (meaning, I agree with all of you), that I actually watch gametrack on my computer, and get more pleasure just watching the game than having to listen to a barrage of blather from the booth, or God forbid, some half-trained chick on the sideline. If I want to mix hot women with sports? I hit the Men's Club. At least I get what I want = big screen sports, hot dancers, and loud music. I can sit, watch just about ANY game and it's ON!

Just my humble opinion.

Have a kick-ass weekend everyone,

Uncle STeve
