Just got back from my draft, feel pretty damn good about it. It's an 8 team league, and I won last year so I got the 8th overall pick. Also, it's a keeper league with 2 holdovers.

Here's how I did (in order):

*note - I didn't count everyone's 2 hold overs as rounds, thus the first round for us would technically be the third round*

QB: Drew Brees (hold over)
RB: Larry Johnson (hold over)
RB: Ronnie Brown (1-8, 8th overall)
WR: Steve Smith (2-1, 9th overall)
RB: Travis Henry (3-8, 24th overall)
WR: Lee Evans (4-1, 25th overall)
WR: Laveranues Coles (5-8, 40th overall)
DEF: Ravens (6-1, 41st overall)
RB: Cadillac Williams (7-8, 56th overall)
TE: Chris Cooley (8-1, 57th overall)
WR: Darrell Jackson (9-8, 72nd overall)
TE: LJ Smith (10-1, 73rd overall)
K: Neil Rackers (11-8, 88th overall)
DEF: Minnesota (12-1, 89th overall)
K: Matt Stover (13-8, 104th overall)
QB: JP Losman (14-1, 105th overall)

BY POSITION:

QB: Drew Brees, JP Losman
RB: Larry Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Travis Henry, Cadillac Williams
WR: Steve Smith, Lee Evans, Laveranues Coles, Darrell Jackson
TE: Chris Cooley, LJ Smith
DEF: Baltimore, Minnesota
K: Neil Rackers, Matt Stover

Now before you crucify me for picking 2 defenses and 2 kickers, in the league I'm in we're REQUIRED to pick (and carry) 2 QBs, 4 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 Ks and 2 DEFs. We are not allowed to only pick 1 kicker, 1 defense and 5 WRs and 5 RBs for example.

I think I made out pretty well. Guys definitely made some questionable moves, for example Larry Fitzgerald went before Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson went before Lee Evans, etc.

Let me know what you think.

Also, you get 4 points for a passing TD, 6 for a rushing TD, 6 for a receiving TD. You also get 1 point for every 20 yards rushing and receiving, and 1 point for every 50 yards passing. You do NOT get any points per reception.

WR is a little thin, especially with that scoring system. Coles is likely to go 95/900/4. I would consider swapping a RB (ideally Brown or Williams) for an upgrade at WR and maybe pick up a better back up QB. Should be a better QB on the scrap heap than Losman. Otherwise, solid job.

Your team looks pretty good. Team 7 looks solid too. They will have some monster weeks.

Your first team posted looks tough. I like the LJ, Travis (I have 9 baby mommas) Henry combo.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I felt like I had one of the best teams walking out of the draft, but now the more I look it over the more I'm not sure.

Yeah, the only thing is you need to keep 4 RBs, 4WRs etc at all times, meaning I couldn't trade a RB for a WR straight up, it would have to be a package deal with a RB/WR combo for a RB/WR combo.

Also, we start 2 RBs, 2 WRs and 1 flex player (RB or WR), and I would prefer to go with a RB in that spot rather than a WR, thus I don't want to get rid of Henry or Brown, if I'm going to give up a RB, I'm looking almost exclusively at Caddy.

If I was going to try a trade, it might be Cadillac & Coles for Deango Williams & Terry Glenn. I'd rather go with Javon, but I'm sure he wouldn't bite on that. What do you think of that idea?

I wouldn't do that, at least Coles is a #1 on his own team. Cadillac is the only guy in TB and Williams will split. I think you downgrade on both ends of that trade. With the flex RBs have a lot more value than the WRs so I would imagine he may go for that. I would try to get Chad Johnson, that guy needs some RB help. However, you are probably good standing pat too

Thanks fh. Will most likely stand pat for awhile then, unless something really juicy is proposed to me. I know the guy with Chad Johnson would never trade him, he held him over and is basically in love with him.
