The worst part is that the runner in front of him (Griffey) doesn't score because Dunn is forced out a 3rd (after he's already in the dugout).

How does Griffey not get to 2nd base on that blooper down the left field line ? The runner scores from first as the throw goes home for a close play at the plate. This play alone should bar him from the HOF. Then he doesn't score from first on a one hopper off the wall with 2 outs. Couple that with the earlier base running blunder by Dunn and over bettors have to be homicidal.

MLB Trade Rumors: Six Perfect Spots for Adam Dunn

By Asher B. Chancey
(Featured Columnist) on July 14, 2010
The Trade Rumors regarding Adam Dunn are beginning to heat up.
Despite the fact that Washington Nationals General Manager Mike Rizzo has steadfastly claimed that he will only trade Dunn for the most exceptional of offers, ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Dunn is beginning to grow frustrated with the pace of negotiations on a contract extension.
Further, as the Nationals fall further and further behind in the NL East--they're currently 13.5 games back--buying is no longer and option and refusing to sell a player who looks to become an A-list free agent at the end of the season may be foolish.
If I may editorialize for a moment, as a Phillies fan I would love to see Dunn go, but as a baseball fan, I am excited about Washington's potential in the coming years with a Zimmerman-Dunn-Willingham-Harper nucleus and a Strasburg-Whomever-Whomever rotation.
Nevertheless, here is a look at the top five landing spots for Adam Dunn in 2010, should the Nationals decide to trade him.

2. Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have used Mark Kotsay as their primary designated hitter in 2010, with Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin also seeing time there.
At this point in his career, Kotsay is not a player you want in the lineup every day.
If the White Sox had Adam Dunn, they could plant him at first base, move Konerko to designated hitter full time, and have Kotsay come off the bench.
Frankly, with Konerko, Dunn, and Quentin in the middle of the order, I find it hard to believe that either the Twins or Tigers would have a chance at the AL Central crown.

WTF is up with these posts? Damn, get a life already. GO WHITE SOX!

The one thing I take from this old thread is how spot on my comments were. Griffey Jr's base running that game was a disgrace to the sport and completely overshadowed Dunn's ineptness of not touching 3rd on what should've been a 2 run hit. How do you not get to 2nd base on a bloop down the left field line where the throw goes to home as the runner scores a from first on a close play at the plate?

AND I HAVE 452 HRs

Adam Dunn hit a solo homer in the second inning and doubled and scored on Dayan Viciedo's three-run home run in the fourth.
