Christ, all the pitchers went to hell at the same time. What's Yost going to do? Sheets pitches three games in a row, then takes two months off. Tonight Parra gets hurt. Capuano has been crap. Suppan is coming on again, but he was horrible for a while. If anybody should go, it should be Maddux. Wise and Villanueva couldn't get anybody out for three or four weeks.
Ripping on Yost is the easy way out. Who knew Weeks would go into a three-month funk? If he hits like he has the past two weeks, things would be a lot better. Hardy looks like a MVP the first two months, then he shuts down. Hall hits 35 homers last year, doesn't do shit this year.
I suppose Yost will have to go, but c'mon, did anybody think they'd be in first place 125 days this season?
They should be a lot better next year, if they can get a few more pitchers and that puss Sheets holds up for more than two weeks at a time. They'll be better whether Yost or Girardi or Harvey Kuehn is managing.
