Hey st,

Take a look at the argentine wines that I carry. I have plenty more in the store that I have as well. If you need anything, like I said before, I would be happy to hook you up with a RXer discount. Just let me know if you need anything. :103631605

You drink any Malbecs? Some great ones from Argentina.

ED’S Smooth Red is a delicious, off-dry red wine that is loaded with super-ripe cherry and blackberry fruit flavors with hints of blueberries. The mouth-watering flavors just explode on the palate. Smooth Red is a blend of red grapes made in a style that showcases the wine’s silky smooth texture. Ed’s Smooth Red is the smoothest red wine on the market today.

Bottle: $9.99 Case: $119.88

Made in the hill country of Texas..

Drink wine all the time and have about 500 bottles currently. Favorite is probably Bordeaux but also enjoy CA and OR Pinot Noir, Burgundy, CA Cabs, Suavignon Blanc (specifically AUS and NZ), Zin, Port, Brunello/Super Tuscan, Barolo/Barbaresco.

You forgot Amarones or Tignanello - name some decent Pinot Noirs for under $40 - I never drink any but there must be some good ones to try - I'm going to try what you tell me so don't give me any questionable piss water - I'd rather pay more for a wine I like than something I'll end up pouring out - of course, I like diamonds in the rough too.

Luigi Bosca is an awesome Malbec, one of my favs, if not my favorite. Yes, I carry it. Have the Luigi Bosca 2003 Malbec and also the 2004 Luigi Bosca Malbec Reserve. Let me know if you need either Seymour. :103631605

Argyle/Argyle Reserve, Bethel Heights, Foxen, Mark West (they have a Vintner's Cuvee that is like $10, not bad for $10, but they have better designations than that), Penner-Ash (this was recommended by the guy who works where I buy my wine but I haven't tried it yet), Testarossa, Winston Selyem (really, really good but can get pricey).

If you are going to choose one of the above, I would say WS for sure, but all make good pinot.

There are a number of producers that make CA pinots and buy grapes from Garys' Vineyard - generally that is a good designation and should be a pretty good bottle of wine. All of the above are between $25 on the low end and ~$60 on the high end. There are a lot of high end Pinot producers such as Pahlmeyer and Martinelli that have limited production but are top notch.

Spread, which is better, 2003 or 2004 Reserve? and how much?

Also, do you sell any of the Pinots he listed above?

Also, are these coming in the mail or can I just pay you and pick them up?

Seymour,

I would go with the 2003, it is the D.O.C. Reserve. It is one step up from the regular reserve. That one is my favorite, as 2003 was the best year for Malbecs. It was rated 90 points by Wine Spectator. I sell it for $22.99, but will give you a better price for sure. Just depends on how many you are looking for.

I can do either one you want, send it to you or you can come in and pick it up. Does not matter to me, whichever is easiest for you.

Get my contact info from Wil or Ttinco and we can go from there. I will be sure to hook you up. Just call me or email me and we can discuss what you want. Would like to meet you and we can shoot the shit for a while. My store is on Collins and 170th.

Just get in touch with me, via email and we can discuss things. But I would go for the 2003 D.O.C. reserve. It is great!

Talk at you soon.

spread my girlfriend is trying to get into wine. i like any wine and everytime i go on a cruise i go to those wine tasting sessions which is always fun.

but shes a big beer and tequila drinker... wine is still growing on her.

we keep trying wines but she never likes many.

here is what she would be looking for, and maybe you or a colleague can recommend a couple good wines that i will purchase:

1. she likes COLD drinks, so no wines at room temp
2. she's looking for something LIGHT
3. no strong after taste or anything

just light and cold, white or red, although i guess reds are never really supposed to be served chilled.

price really isnt an issue as long as we dont get into triple digits, probably should start $40 and below though since its for testing purposes and then move up a bit

let me know if you come up with a few.

i'm personally a big Pinot Grigio fan.

Box,

What up bother?

For your girl, I would try a Pinot Noir, when it comes to Reds. I have a great Chilean Pinot, Amayna, that was rated 92 points by Wine Spectator. It is reasonably priced at $26.99. It is great! Also for her, for whites, I would go with Caymus Conundrum. It is a little on the sweet side, but not too sweet.

As for Pinot Grigio, I would go with Livio Fellugo. It is a single vinyard and is, hands down, better than Santa Margherita.

You should already know my contact info. If not, just get it from one of the mods. You know I will hook you up. Especially after that 2-0 night last night in NCAA foots.

Speak to you soon.
