going after the nfl and nba. they were really stupid to bring up the betting scandal when they just had there own betting scandal.

Gary Bettman doesn't sit in his New York office rubber stamping teams marketing plans and no where did it mentioned the NHL being directly involved in this. It wasn't a league wide NHL ad campaign so the title of this thread is baseless to the article since the NHL may be pathetic but this wouldn't be a reason why.

If you mentioned the Dallas Stars are pathetic you may be correct but you also would fail marketing 101 which basiclly is there is no such thing as bad publicity. The ad is funny and if it gets Dallas nation wide attention then the team who came up with the campaign should get a raise from it.

As for the Rick Tocchet betting scandal he didnt take action on NHL games and he didn't effect a result of one NHL game so I would like to think therx of all places wouldn't see something so morally wrong with a guy offering a service that 90% of the people who view this site either do themselves or use the services of people like Tocchet.

I think the NFL one is funny, but like I said the NBA one is a very bad move when you have gambling going on in your own league. I'm moreso just tired of the NHL and wish they would just have there league in canada.
