Now that it seems Neteller is not going out of business...

who knows of a country (Other than Canada) where a US citizen can get a drivers license (Or ID card) and a bank account without a Visa? There must be some out there... Anyone know?

Thanks,
Sean

People outside the US don't generally go around asking whether you can get driving licenses without a visa I'd guess ;)

you can get an id card from post office or drivers licence place in australia.

you would have to take the actual driving test though.

they have the id for drinking age purposes which is a photo id referred too above.

new zealand has similar laws to australia so Id say there as well.

Australia would be super cool. I know you can open a bank account there and I believe neteller does efts there as well.. Unfortunately Neteller must know this as they require a passport...

I will check out New Zealand since a DL or ID certificate is good enough.

So what happens to Australians with no passport? No neteller?

If you have a passport, a driver's license and a bank account is easy, but be prepared to spend all day getting them both...here in Costa Rica...

Viejo,

I assume you mean a US passport?

Is it the type of thing where you have to go through a driving test (Get a car, etc etc) or can you just walk in with a US license, pay a fee and get a costa rica one?

Also, does NT EFT to costa rican banks?

Thanks,

US passport...no tests, a 10 minute physical and eye exam, cost anywhere between 100-150 bucks...go with a local to avoid confusion and long lines...don't know anything about netteller....

I've heard the women are worth the trip anyways... I'm gonna have to find a weekend to come on down.

Do I need to bring someone who speaks spanish (Plenty of friends who do) or will English get me by...

Neteller requires CR Passport or license.

THX!
