I think your wr's are weak. Driver had a scare with his foot but should be ok, i hope he plays well this season bc i have him also! I also have Branch but he is my 4th wr in a 12 team league and he is your 2nd wr in your league.... Hopefully him and Hassleback do well together. I like Brees and Jackson a lot, im not sold on Portis and I stayed away from him myself but you got him in the 5th round so thats not to bad. I just think his durability and Ladell Betts taking some carries away makes him a question mark. AP could be a stud but chester taylor is still going to get his touches as well... jamal lewis could be a steal in the 9th round. I know hes on the decline but hes the #1 in clev and will get a lot of carries. He should be able to get 1100 yds 8 tds or more. So i like that pick alot. Overall pretty good draft and i think as long as you stay injury free you should have a competitive team

RBs are nice. That Portis pick was great value. QBs are nice enough but I would have personally waited a round and used my 3rd rounder to take someone else and then went with Kitna.

As always, I love taking Anthony Gonzalez in the late rounds. Slot WRs in Indy do pretty well.

I like the Brees pick because QB's are getting 6 points for a passing TD. That makes a big differance over the standard 4 points. Think if Brees throws 32 TD's that's 192 points. If he waits and takes a guy that throws 22 TD's that's 132 points. It comes out to being about 4 points a week differance. Not to mention Brees is probably going to throw for more yardage which also count towards points. I would bet that in the end Brees would be 6 to 7 point better a week than the 22 TD guy.

What I would've done though is not drafted portis in the 5th and went WR again. Guys like ward, Burress, C. Johnson, Reggie Brown, Lavaranus Coles
Then in the 7th and 8th rounds I would've tried to get one these RB's: Lamont Jordan, Noorwood, Barber, DeAngelo Williams, Ladell Betts, Brandon Jackson.

If you did that you team could look something like this

1. Sjax
2. Edge
3. Brees
4. Driver
5. Burress
6. A Peterson
7. Branch
8. Lamont Jordan/ Ladell Betts, D Williams (My projections for williams are only 20 points less than Portis and you got him 3 rounds later. While greatly improving your WR's.

What you should do is find a team that doesn't have any RB's and try to trade them either Perterson or Portis for a good WR like Lee Evans, Plaxico, Colston, Javon Walker, Hines Ward.

honestly, Portis is my least favorite RB you have. You did get him a good value, but I just don't like drafting him. I see him splitting time this year if he doesn't get hurt, and it's likely he will get hurt at some point. I can't tell you how many drafts I've done this year were I passes on Portis then took Betts 4 or 5 rounds later. I see them having similar numbers at the end of the year.

Can you List both teams and then I could tell you what I would do.

Or list teams that have bad RB's but good WR's. Maybe you can move perterson for a good tier 2 WR

If I was going to try and make a trade with this guy I would say.

Offer him Portis OR perterson for Hines Ward and one of his defenses.

That would give you SJax and Edge for you every week backs with Peterson/Portis and Lewis to put in for bye weeks.

Also your WR's would then be Driver and Hines Ward, with backups being Branch, henderson and gonzoles.

Plus you'd have a defense

That first trade is real nice. Seems to me that back then both Colston and Gonzalez were playing like crap so it takes some balls to pull the trigger on that.
