1967 for me ! Number 1 USC with O.J. leading the way for the undefeated Trojans. I lived in Portland, Oregon and a group of 5 of us headed over to Corvallis to see Oregon State host the mighty Trojans. The traffic was so bad that several of us had to go to the bathroom and We were able to get out of the car and sprint to a service station and still catch up to our car...... OK... It wasn't really a sprint, We walked real briskly. Anyway We arrived at Parker Stadium seconds late because of the traffic and We listened to the kickoff on our portable radio. O.J. received the kickoff and all I could hear was 20, 25,30,40, 50 and then all of a sudden the radio guys yells.... Jess Lewis catches O.J. from behind and takles him. That was the only real scoring chance USC had as Oregon State won 3-0 in the mud ! Two side notes... Jess Lewis was a 2 time NCAA Wrestling Champion at Heavyweight for Oregon State and also USC went on to win the National Championship.

well it SHOULD have been an upset, but the best game i was at in person was 1994 Illinois vs Penn St, Penn St was a pro football machine at that time, Illinois had them down big early and lost by 4 on a 96 yeard drive to conclude the game with at least 2 4th down conversions thrown in, best football game i was ever at, still have never seen the replays of it though, very pleased to hear it will be on the big ten networks gresatest games later in september.
1982 Apple Cup. Washington was 9-1 and #5 in the nation (and had already purchased their plane tickets and hotel rooms for Pasadena) while Washington State was 2-7-1 and a 23 pt dog at home. WSU knocked them off 24-20, sealing the game with an INT in the last minute, to knock UW out and UCLA into the Rose Bowl.
