I nominate Dave Johnson's "and down the stretch they come", besides being annoying the way he hyperventilates when he says it - it is stupid when one horse has a big lead so there really isnt any drama or when he uses it in a bottom level 5K claimer like he just did at the Meadowlands.

Honorable mention - Dick Enberg's "Oh My" it sounds like he is getting goosed

I rather enjoy Johnson's phrase, probably because it has so much tradition behind it. Enberg's phrase is getting a little overused. I feel he uses it sometimes because he feels he has to keep his thing going.

My first inclination was Berman's "back".

The one that hasn't been mentioned is not particular to one sportscaster but is overused in most football games: "If he could have broken that tackle he may have gone all the way." A lot of times I see another defender come into the picture in the replay. Stupid.
