Who is going to beat this Mountaineer team this year? Never in a million years would I guess their 2 toughest games to be at South Florida and at Rutgers. This team is going to get through this schedule easier than any other in the country. I am not yet ready to crown them champs as they will have a tough time winning the big game, but I am telling you now they will be in the National Championship game. The only other thing I know for sure is they will not be playing Michigan or Notre Dame. WVU/FL would be my pick for the championship game.

Any doubters here?

schedule is certainly in their favor, i like their team. outside of the road game at usf i don't know that they'll be "tested" by the rest especially as they are at home for a couple of the other big ones.

Checking off Louisville at home as a W? Not with that defense. I'm rooting for them because I love watching White and Slaton, but I can't see them getting thru without a loss.

South Florida will play them very tough for the first half. And then depth and speed and strength take over. I see a 14-17 point WVU victory as they pour it on down the stretch. At least they know not to take South Florida, or Rutgers for granted. Last year's fall after losing that big game to Louisville will help them be better prepared this year. This really is a VERY good football team. This is probably the best team to ever come out of Morgantown, and there have been a few good ones. The Big East is solid again this year as far as the top 3 or 4.

For sure they will be favored every game they play. Lousiville will be a revenge game and at home I would say it is the third toughest game for them.

At Rutgers will be interesting also. Last year's game was a great one at WVU.

Come on WVU give the boys a little credit. Can we atleast say the Terps wont be a walkover. Huge rivalry on a Thursday night. Obviously i think west virginia will win, but wouldnt be surrpised to see the boys hang around.

LSU and USC... no way they jump them. But I don't see both of those teams going undefeated, schedule's are tough.

I completely agree. I took them 3 months ago at 11-1 to win the National Championship. They basically have a bye into the final game as long as Slaton and White stay healthy. Also as long as there aren't 2 other undefeated teams.

your smoking crack....that L-ville offensive will score at will on them...it should be a great, but very ,very tough game...far from a bye, not to mention Rutgers and S. Florida.

they will not go anywhere near the championship game with that defense. louisville will light up that secondary.

and no way in hell flor even smells an undefeated year.

Defense wins championships...LOL. Yeah in the NFL. We've seen many horrible defensive football teams win National Championships in College Football. I don't see how any team will hold WVU under 40 this year. Maybe the word "bye" is a bad word, but they have by far the easiest road of any team capable of going undefeated this year. Don't buy into the L'ville hype just because they posted 73 on a high school team.
