Assuming LT and S Jackson are gone.

This is a tough one this year. Its a 16 team league so if your first pick is a bust you could be in for a rough season.

Addai
Gore
LJ
S Alexander
Peyton

probably one of those 5. Who would you take?

Gore or Addai. Gore rated higher but I LOVE Joseph Addai this year. If I'm in your seat I take Addai, assuming LT and Steven Jackson are gone of course...of course.

If you want little risk of injury and risk, and depending on your point system, consider Manning.

No way to I take LJ or Alexander there at #3.

LJ

Gore fumbles in the red zone, Addai untested carrying the whole load.

Alexander is due for a solid return.

LJ is running behind a horrible line.

Addai same thing

Addai was one of the top FF backs last year while sharing time with Dominic Rhodes. He also catch a ton of passes. He gets rated even higher if you get points per receptions.

16 team leagues suck.. i even think 12 team leagues arent that great.

we used to do a 8 team league and it made it so much more fun to have more quality players.

16 is Ridiculous, 12 is a perfect size, it forces people to be better with their picks. 10 is OK but just for fun

No way its manning too early for a qb even that horse face
You need a solid back and at 3 it would be LJ he will be back and ready to go just like normal and put up big numbers

i say u trade down for another pick in the second round or so, cuz in a deep league like that it is better to have a ton of quality players rather than one great player

I drafted 3rd in two separate drafts (12 team - std. scoring), here are my first 5 picks:

draft 1) Alexander, Chad Johnson, Harrison, Gates, Ahman Green
draft 2) Addai, Johnson, Harrison, Gates, Cadillac Williams

LJ is a stud but many RBs that hold out most of TC have had injury problems. KC's O-line also worries me.

Alexander seemed like the safe pick at the time and Addai was more of a gamble with lots of upside.

On my drafts above, instead of taking the 20th best RB or so in the 2nd round, I decided to take some of the top WRs and then Gates usually puts up top-10 WR numbers also. My back-up RBs are Norwood (league 1) and Betts (league 2).

Waited later for QBs and got Kitna (league 1) and Romo (league 2). I know I'm a little thin at RB but I'm hoping my WRs/TE will make up for that.
