Woke up this morning to the bed shaking and building rocking. I'm staying at a friend's condo in Downtown San Diego in the gaslamp. I'm thinking the big one just hit LA and Arizona Bay is working its way eastward.

Finally found it on the news.....2.1 off the coast of La Jolla!

:ohno:

I tell you this, I would not want to be living on the 25th floor of a high rise condo in downtown San Diego if anything more than a 4.0 came through!

2.1 is what the animals feel when Hognuts is walking through the woods of Kentucky.

You should have been in LA for the Northridge Quake

Well maybe not ... felt like we were in the Jolly Green Giant's Shake and Bake Bag. Really f'n scary. All the condo buildings on the street a few hundred yards away were red-tagged (no occupancy) afterward. We were in Sherman Oaks at the time.

When I lived in San Diego, someone told me that San Diego sits on basically on sea shells and when the big quake hits, San Diego will be hit hard.

I experienced my first earthquake in Taipei last Friday. I woke up in the middle of the night to my bed shaking violently. Scared me for a bit cause I didn't know how long it would last and if things would break. Lasted about 10 seconds. Next morning I found out it was a 3! Only a 3! That was enough for me.

They are some scary shit. 10 seconds feels like 10 minutes.

And each number higher they go up on the richter scale is 10X more than the previous number.
