i have an interesting story for you all. today is my friend's birthday. on a 9/11 a few years ago, a hurricane hit hawaii, but not our island. it hit kauai. he went to college in pennsylvania. upon graduation he lived in washington dc where he worked. then he moved to new york. he quit his job and a week before the 9/11 terrorists attack, he came to visit me in san jose and we were going to fly together to hawaii. the weird thing is a hurricane on his birthday, plane crashes in new york where he lived, pentagon where he lived, and pennsylvania where he again lived. those are the only 4 places he has lived in the U.S. kind of weird coincidence isn't it? i called and wished him a happy birthday. so sad that on a happy day for him, the rest of the country mourns.

Can't believe it has been 6 years... I'll never forget it, My kid just turned 1 and we were visiting family there for it. Never been so scared in my life. All i remember is going downtown the following day and watching the workers go in and out. Have pictures of Fire trucks that looked like toy trucks that had been twisted inside out. Met James Galdofini who rode down on his bicycle to help out.

Two things that i will never forget. The smell of the jet fuel (and who knows what else) and the looks on those poor people who were setting up makeshift sites downtown with pictures and leaflets about missing friends and family.

Probably the biggest factor on why i live down here now.

Left Nyc swearing i would never go back, Sure enough we go back to visit in November and another plane crashes the same day we get there.

wow... thats nuts.

i knew of a kid who had just gotten a job at the wtc. he wasnt supposed to start until sept. 17 .

told his new boss he wanted to start early.

sept. 11 was his first day.. and sadly enough , his last.

heartbreaking.

terrorism is Cowardly killing and hurting innocent people is cowardly

Not from their perspective. The US has been killing their people and they see it as returning the favour. I'm not excusing their actions or those of the US Government, but many people seem to only look at things from their own perspective, and this is a great factor in the problems of the world.

I'm not condoning what those horrible terrorists did, I'm just saying I don't understand what was so cowardly about their actions. What they did took some balls.

Yes, It takes balls to pilot a big ass plane, hijack it and then have the gall to die for what you believe in.

Again not condoning what they did by any means..

Alright thats fine if thats what you believe. A lot of people feel that way obviously.

We'll just have to agree to disagree, nothing wrong with that. Thats what makes life interesting

Was very cowardly. These assholes think they're going to some higher place or being by doing these acts, taking innocent men, women, and CHILDREN in the process. They don't give a fuck about them, they just hope they're going to a better place, it's as selfish as it gets.
