One thing that drives me nuts with baseball

My teams have a guy on 3rd with 0 or 1 out, and don't score. This has been happening at a huge rate lately to my teams - and it fucking drives me nuts. My teams score 30-40% of the time, and give it up at 80%.

Of course the other big thing in baseball is the blown leads by the closer - and being on the wrong side of those.

When I saw the title of your thread, I knew you were going to say that. It drives you nuts sometimes. Nobody shortens up anymore with a guy on third and these pitchers seem to be able to strike a guy out with a runner on third almost anytime they want to. Take a gandor at Ryan Howard's stats with a runner on third, less than 2 out. The fact that no one shortens up any more just to make contact also accounts for the high number of multi-run walkoff homers, IMO.

I thought it was just me. Makes my skin crawl. I have no problems getting bases loaded when i have a over and then NOTHING..

bullpens have killed me countless times the past two seasons..of course, I never appear to be the benefactor of such misfortune, only the victim.

there should be a show on the Discovery Channel titled, "When Bullpens Go Bad"

automatic double play ball hit to 2nd baseman...totally messes it up

leads to 3 runs so far

still going only 1 out

I had a beat that was about as weird as any I could remember in a 4.5 inning total recently, which I bet over 4 runs. It was 3-0 with NONE out and runners on first and second in the TOP of the first, but yet it stayed 3-0 til the bottom of the fifth, despite 15 hits, 2 HBP and 3 walks all in this first 4.5 innings! It was capped off by a runner being throw out at the plate in the top of the 5th. One of the most incredibly frustrating beats ever...look at the play-by-play for the first 4.5 innings...

You mean you don't like it either when for example :

I have Philly tonight and they load the bases with ZERO outs and they fail to get 1 run in.

BTW ..I really do have Philly and as a best bet actually along with Zona

Long way to go but not a good way to start .

The plus side is they're wearing down the pitcher
28 pitches thrown in the first inning.
