Sorry for this late post, but I was out of town all weekend and did not get a chance to mention this. Sorry, if someone has already started a thread regarding.

UK score to go up 5 with less than a minute to go and this idiot does not go for 2. HOW FUCKING STUPID DO YOU HAVE TO BE?

The AD should have come down in between the PAT and KO and said, Rich your services will no longer be needed.

Didn't see the finish, so even if there was a penalty, they still should have gone for 2.

someone else mentioned this but the thread got lost in the shuffle on a busy saturday. but its worth bringing up again. just an insanely stupid decision. kinda got overlooked because they won. but that doesnt excuse such stupidity.

I posted this a couple days ago...

1. The first one only has to do with a teaser i lost. Did Ohio State really run in a TD at the buzzer leading by 13 at the time? Cost me a 10 pt teaser. Does tressel not believe in kneeling especially against a coach he is good friends with? I didnt see it so wondering what the story is here.

2. This one bothers me alot more and i didnt have money on it. Why did Kentucky not go for 2 after taking a 5 pt lead with under a minute left? I swear these coaches should be fired on the spot for being so stupid. This is just totally inexcusable. Great win and all, but it just makes no sense.

What about what Mack Brown did in the UCF game?

Texas is up 29-24 with about 4 minutes to go in the game and gets a TD to go up 11 (35-24), then instead of Mack Brown deciding to just kick the extra point to make it a two TD game, the idiot decides to go for two (why do you need to go up 13????). Texas misses the 2 pt attempt and UCF goes down the field and gets a TD and a 2 pt conversion to be within a FG. If that game would've went to OT, Mack Brown would've never heard the end of it.

Agreed. I forgot about that, but thought the same thing during the game.

These coaches are fucking retards. Wait until Marc Richt screws up another game by mismanaging the clock.

Agree with you about Brown, obviously his thinking was being up 13 was better than being up 12, which makes sense. I guess he just didn't notice being up by 11 also made it possible to only require 1 td /2pt and a fg to tie. Likely he won't be doing that again but I think what Brooks did was several times worse than Brown's.

You see this kinda crap all weekend long - ok maybe not this bad but certainly bone headed clock management and 2 pt conversion decisions on all levels of football

This is why I have always thought every team should have a clock management/2 pt conversion specialist. Just stick some nerd on the sidelines who can run over and yell at these coaches if they are making a mistake. I will do it for minimum wage.
