Who would have thought are bets would be coming down to the wire like this? I honestly figured one of are teams the Brewers or Cubs would have a comfortable lead by now. With only 11 games left its going to be a fun couple weeks! Good Luck and let the best team win!

Sucks that Pujols is most likely out for the season, Brewers keep getting so lucky with not seeing Oswalt because his wife was having a baby and now Pujols being injured. Hopefully the Braves and Padres can take care of business. The Cubs schedule looks easy but I dont like that last series against the Reds but I guess the Pujols thing kinda washes out since Griffey is likely done for the season as well.

WOW Desethi, just read your call off. No faith? Crew hitting and all the teams are putting their dogs against the crew to give them an edge. For you Bomb. You Cubbies want all the advantages because you DO not know how to go and get something that is right in front of your face. Dog chaxin the darrot.

It will be fun. My offer to Bomb is if he or I win to double down for next year with the same wager. Lets see where that takes us.

not that at all, but would rather keep my $200 than have to follow the rest of the way, that's it.

again, loved the fact brewers end on a homestand and cubby bears do not.

oh well. 5star still has his blinders on thinking it's the brewers that have been getting lucky. hate people that rarely, if ever acknowledge the breaks that they themselves get. already knew he was a blind homer though, least after the season's over i won't have to hear about it unless he wants to back the bears or something

Hey now Dsethi give me a little credit where credit is due kid. Cubs were down how many games when I accepted this bet? Like 5 or 5.5 games or something? I may have been bias but I also knew the Cubs had the better pitching and talent than the young Brewers. Its still not over the Cubs in 04 let me down big time in the last couple weeks so im not happy until they clinch it but it does look good with a 2.5 game lead right now. And im not sure about making a Bears bet I would maybe do something.

Not sure if I would do it for next year I would have to talk about it once that comes around. The Cubs 2.5 lead is certaintly looking nice right now though!

what was the bet?

I bet dsethi and kid44 that the cubs would finish higher than the Brewers in the nl central. I made this bet earlier in the year when the Cubs were 5 games out. Their playing well right now i hope they can keep it up

Not so fast boys. I never give up until its over. Crew locked and loaded for this homestand. Just need Cubs to take a couple on the chin.

Crew got boned by the ump yesterday with a call at 2nd. I am not a sore loser but this was blatent. Yost got yanked.
Cubs playing good ball when it counts.

May the best team win.

I saw that call at 2nd your right bad call... And your right that its not over yet either especially with the Cubs... Brewers play much better at home obviously so lets see what happens

Dude, been fishing in the TOXIC pond for 2 years. Knew I was tresspassing but had never gotten caught. I have a 7lb largie out of it plus numerous 5-6pounders that I can fit my mitts in. Unreal place. Got the pics to prove it. Apparently in the 70's there were some barrels they buried and eventually leaked to the water. Catch.pic and release.

Willis was my fav as a rookie. Hope he is back to form tonight. Crew is on a mission and I think you know it. Cubbies can control destiny though.

I have many things over you:
1: Packers
2:Young Crew
3:Fishing
4:You are a penny head and a FIB.

LOL My ex of 22 years is from Oak Park. I know the drill.

I went fishing yesterday for a little bit and caught 1 carp. Only went for like 45 minutes though bc I had a lot going on and just wanted to go for an hour or so. Those fuckin carp are fun to catch though they can fight like no other. I was a little disappointed though, I thought it was going to be a huge largemouth. Yeah you got your Packers going good but we will see if it will last. I am hoping Griese will help out the offense and give the Bears a spark, we will see. Cubs basically trying to hand the division to the Brewers but they dont seem to want it. Big night for Cubs and Brewers tonight...

Too much crap, I mean carp, at one time for the Crew. Young team not ready yet. That bullpen needs to be revamped. Still a small chance.

Used to go to a local golf course and bowfish for carp. Was a blast. Had an older black man that would take all we could give. Drank a little shine with him over the years. Lifes experiences that you can tell your kids.

Good luck tonight. You have given us the spot but just have not taken it.

Its finally over!! The Cubs are the 2007 NL CENTRAL DIVISION CHAMPIONS!!!!

Our little bet was fun guys, it just added to the excitement of the division race. The Cubs have come a long way this season from the Barrett/Z fight in the dugout to the Lou tirade, and being behind in the division by 8.5 games. This Brewer team is no joke though kid44 and I know they will be very tough for years to come, but like I thought their youth and pitching didnt have enough. Now I just hope the Cubs can do something in the playoffs!

5star do u know if wc automatically gets lowest seed?

or does the playoff team with worst record?

as it stand now cubs are 3 seed if wc is 4th, meaning cubs play philly if phillies win division?

is this correct?

wait a sec..i realized the 2 west teams cant play each other......

so does wc automatically get 4th seed if it means they dont play their division mate?

or does it go by record?

i guess best record is still technically up for grabs since phillies have to win at least 1 of 2 or both games to win division...which could have them pass dbacks......

if that happens cubs would play dbacks i think
