Why are they getting such great odds?

i would think everyone would pound that line like i am over at WSEX

Yanks are rolling Sox are falling apart, not that big a deal to make up 2.5 games

making up 2 games in 10 games is not easy. If the yanks lose tomorrow and the sox win they would have virtually no chance at that point. No room for error makes the 4-1 pretty reasonable if you ask me.

If you are considering that I would look at the Yanx winning it all. I'm rooting against them but logically they are the way to go I think.

Francona managing like the DIVISION RACE AND BEST RECORD (home field) has been decided:

Francona plans to give starters Daisuke Matsuzaka and Curt Schilling extra days off before their next starts as he tries to set his rotation for the playoffs. Matsuzaka, working on three extra days' rest, will go Saturday at Tampa Bay. Schilling will go on four extra days' rest against Oakland next Tuesday

Meanwhile CLEVELAND and ANGELS are 1/2 game back for best record. :think2: :think2:

It's the schedule. The Yanks finish the last 6 games on the road and the Red Sox the last 6 at home.

Yanks play one more at home v O's (automatic win most likely) then face a little tougher competition with a 4 game home stand vs Toronto. Then play 3 at Tampa Bay and 3 at Baltimore.

Red Sox play one more at Toronto and fly south for 3 at Tampa Bay then finish at home with two against Oakland and four against Minnesota.

Don't let anyone kid you The Red Sox will be thrilled if the Yanks have to play Anaheim in the first round. Even if it means being the Wild Card.

wil..

That is the thing...playing the Angels is the key. Sox want to finish first though. I mean it would suck to lose it after all year. Regardless,it is a new season very soon.
