scat- I got killed last night as well

eagle- I agree and think they roll tonight

I don't post very often but feel very strongly about the Mets tonight I think this might be the biggest play of the year in bases for me.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_4489277", true); </SCRIPT>

Biggest play of the yr on a pitcher who is 2-7???? You're nuts...i hope you win but i also hope you don't throw anything extra on this play.Save it for the Florida series

Becareful - Mets are scuffling.....not wise to bet on teams on a losing streak. Chico has been decent lately & Nationals OBP .356 is helping them get runs across.

And you got a home ump BHP....becareful

I know Pelfrey has been sub-par this season but I'm betting more on the charecter of the Mets on this one. We all have to agree that the Mets are a much more talented team correct? The Mets are professionals ase is there manager I just can't see them tucking their tale betweeen their legs against a division doormat. This game is the litmus test for the rest of the year, If they lose this one the playoffs are in serious jeapordy.

The playoffs are already in serious jeapordy. Esspecially if Hamels is able to make his next few starts.

I'm not saying they don't win tonight, but it's sketchy to go big on a weak pitcher and on a team that's struggling.

the mets have lost 67 games this year.
why cant they lose 68?

what makes this game any different from the 5-6 theyve lost in the last two weeks?

sure they have professional player that want to win. but so does washington. no matter how bad the mets want to win, they cant control how pelfrey pitches tonight. its not like basketball where you can have one superstar will his team to victory by taking the ball and just taking the game over.

Mets hold a 40 min team meeting before the game yesterday. It was a must win everyone says they can't lose John Maine is on the mound(who is prob the worst pitcher post ASB) What happens? they lose. The pitching is just horrid right now. The mets need to score 10 runs to win games.

the nats have been playing good ball for a while now and pelfry at -160 seems really inflated. also the nats are loose and are enjoying playing the spoiler, meanwhile the mets seem to be choking.

Thanks for the comments guy's, I hammered it. I think they righted the ship and tomorrow will be a good play as well. Hopefully the line wont be too tough considering Dontell has given them trouble and they are flying late tonight.
