Boston could soon find themselves with the 4th seed in the AL.. meaning on the road the entire playoffs. Cleveland and LA has already passed them, and the Yankees may soon do the same.

My friend is a die hard sox fan and he doesn't mind, he says he wants to face cleveland 1st round, that may be the last 1-2 punch (sabathia/carmona) they want to face with the way they are hitting

Red Sox want to win first no doubt about it and this sucks and hurts. But they are not gonna sacrifice the postseason because that is what counts and all that anyone remembers. Team is injured pretty good and pitching is not being sacrificed just to win the division. I am not happy right now.

They dont look like they have a lot of confidence right now. They had such a lead that its been a long time since they have played games that really matter in the standings. Tough to turn the switch so to speak, but still time to get it going before the playoffs.
